Agree, looks very sharp, best I’ve seen of him.

2 good goals. Could have done with Doyle burying it before John though!

Just what he needed

Same here. Be better if the u21s all got knocked out but some are making it through the groups at least.

Haha, what was all that about after the pen! Like what they do when a disabled kid scores in a testamonial 😂.

Still regionalised

Good confidence booster this. Play a bit of decent football, get some goals, roll it over into the league games

How’s Thomason doing

Same again Saturday strong from the off

Anyone any idea what strength side dale have put out ?

He got a good goal from open play last time we played a league team in this competition.  So did Fonz.  I'm not playing down how nice it is to win and score a few, but it changes nothing other than getting us through the group stages.  Scoring a goal in league one is what's needed, we know we can beat league 2 teams and that Doyle can score at that level, and he scores pens (I'm not under playing that skill, fair play to him).

8 changes from their league game last Saturday so certainly not their strongest but you can only beat what’s in front of you and the boys certainly are tonight.

We got anyone close to 5 yellow cards still, if they get one tonight would they miss Sunday??

we'd of beat Portsmouth with this team, I consider these stronger than Saturday
