Injuries only come into it, if they mean you can't put a team out (14). 

Not sure where a club would stand if it was entirely due to injuries.

Haven't there been cases of clubs not putting a team out in such injury riddled circumstances?

Middlesbrough against Blackburn in 96/97ish. Docked points and ended up going down.

I see Rat Face has piped up about not cancelling games unless there’s exceptional circumstances. Then somebody’s reminded him about the ridiculous late cancellation of our game there last season 😂

I suppose that was a danger with so many clubs having lots of cases. Just one or two saying they couldn't put a team out could have caused an avalanche as others followed suit. Makes sense to put out a minimum number of required players.

Despite it working against us, I would welcome the EFL saying that players who were not registered for the original cannot play in the re-arranged game.

Only applicable to the team that called the game off.

Too many teams (including us, I fear) taking the piss now.

Perhaps. At least we'd have some long term absentees back.

Do you also believe clubs are abusing the situation?

I don't, because the backlog is going to do no one any favours later.
