Well, Jagielka, after a dozen years in the Premiership joined Derby who, despite their issues, were still chucking money about & has now signed for Stoke. So, however much his experience would have helped, I think we can safely assume he's out of our current price range. I though Xav was taking quite a salary drop to get games and some wage paid by Hamburg as well.

Yeah I think there's some direction that club physios have to get involved and the game stops, so it becomes much more noticeable when it happens now. Oh no, actually, sorry I meant its the vaccines fault that it's happening "all the time" now.
February 16, 20224 yr I’m not one for letting blokes in padded suits piss me off but him last night standing pitch side with a yellow flag similar to the linesman’s. Are these things further shithousery to take our players’ eye off the ball?

Aint these the mob that had an assistant wearing his 'assistants kit' on the sideline, that consisteted of blue shorts and a white tshirt, at our place ?

Are these things further shithousery to take our players’ eye off the ball? We commented on that a few times last night. I was amazed that the referee didn't stop the game until the mascot had been shifted and had the flag shoved up his arse. Amazed until I saw the rest of the refs performance.

February 16, 20224 yr Painful being stood on that terrace last night. Just full of clueless individuals. Evatt has picked his starting 11s from last week until end of season barring injuries. Please just accept it he’s the manager and you aren’t. Yeah it wasn’t great but just one of those nights. Soak it up. In good faith, mutley.
February 16, 20224 yr Aimson nowhere near good enough for this team. Hope we cut ties at the end of the season. Usual reactive morons blame our best players - Santos, MJ etc.

About as funny as herpes. They started by giving Dempsey dog’s abuse for his part in the first goal even though the ball went over him. After that every time Dempsey got the ball and was unsuccessful in passing he got dog’s abuse. In second half Burton’s keeper was doing a bit of time-wasting; well, he would do, wouldn’t he? The gobby one in the “witty” group shouted down, “Oi, keeper, if you time-waste like that next time I’m gonna come and twat you!” I called him out. “Bet you don’t you gobby fucker.” He didn’t. Sorry fella, threatening to twat a player for doing his job, not acceptable and certainly not witty. If you recognise yourself, let me say you sounded a cunt. It was the clown with the blue hair , him and his cronies were stood along the back wall and like you said he was shouting bollocks all night . When he threatened the keeper it just went totally quiet around him and he suddenly found something very interesting around his feet.

I know exactly who they are. My kids point the blonde one out every time they see him as the one I had a verbal to-do with at Accrington. When Dixon made a mistake he gave him all sorts of verbal, malicious, abusive shit - he didn’t like it when he was on the receiving end 😊

Pitch like Hulton lane playing fields , throwing balls into the box all game. It's shit. Since We've started playing football under Evatt I look at those tactics now and I know I wouldn't want to see that at Bolton anymore. I agree, we don't ever want to go back to the long throw/playing for set pieces style of play. But without being greedy or unrealistic, LIverpool and Man City get loads of goals by being good at attacking corners and it doesn't take anything away from their footballing approach. Its not one or the other, good footballing teams are allowed to win some headers at both ends as well as keep the ball on the floor the rest of the time.

Small clubs with no fans and a small stadium, coupled with poor weather/pitch surface and we simply don’t win. Stockport, Fleetwood, Accrington, Hartlepool, Morecambe & now Burton. My God that list is horrifying….. But also Cambridge, Sunderland, Sheff Wed, Plymouth, Pompey, Wycombe, Rotherham. I agree poor weather/pitch/stadium sees us at our worst but the other common denominator is not once taking an early lead, whether its sunny or rainy, small ground or big. I've not got the answer but blaming conditions is only part of the story.

Presumably plenty of their ST holders can't do night matches or prefer the i-player option same as us, bringing their numbers down to nearer what we took (how were they ever a championship club on those gates?).

Maybe away, the home team more often than not will try to get on the front foot early, and get ahead. Not as easy to do at our place.
