Fossey MJ Morley John

Lee

Dapo Charles

Think that's our strongest 11 at the moment, Dempsey and Sadlier will have to earn their place. Read this below about Kieran Lee managing an injury until Summer though. Clearly he won't be able to play consistently this month so an opportunity for one of the new lads to steal his spot.

“He (Lee) has got a bit of a bone growth on his heel. It does need shaving. It is causing him some issue, but we can’t and won’t get it shaved until the summer. For now it’s just about managing pain and managing his workload."

Bakayoko also got a couple of important goals so maybe we'll go for Dapo in the 10 and Baka with Charles.

For me we can afford to rest lee more now on in. Dempsey and Sadlier allow us options. Cambridge managed Hoolihan well last season and we can now pick Lee when we need him......For me 2 changes tonight Jones and Dempsey for Lee and Aimson Save Lee for Oxford away where i would replace Bakayoko for him and  put Dempsey in the number 10........way more options now

If Dempsey plays he better put a feckin shift in.....

tell her meet you at the ground

stick kids in the boot

Ideally we win tonight AND:

Accrington (15th) beat Oxford (5th)

Crewe (22nd) beat Plymouth (8th)

Doncaster (24th) beat Ipswich (9th)

Shrewsbury (16th)  beat Wycombe (6th)

Wigan (2nd) beat Sheffield Wed (7th)

Unfortunately tonight, all those teams just above us have 'easier' games than us except for Sheffield Weds. Of course it's never as simple as that, but if any of those teams slip up against a lower placed team then it's a big opportunity to make up ground.

Bonuses would be:

Fleetwood beat MK Dons

Wimbledon beat Rotherham

Cheltenham beat Sunderland

Burton and Portsmouth draw

Morecambe lose against Lincoln.

Just bumped into a few of them at the services on the M6 Toll. Odious twats

Charlton are without top scorer Jayden Stockley and midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey, with winger Corey Blackett-Taylor also set to miss out.

Strange how things change so quickly, before the Sunderland game I would have been willing the opposite results - we needed any team below us to lose or we'd have been bottom 4 without the 2 or 3 very unexpected wins.  Just like a year ago, we can now forget about what's going on below us and that'll do for me, irrespective of results tonight and the rest of the month.  We're too good now to have to worry about odd defeats.

I’d have Dempsey in for Lee

Quite possible.

I'm wondering if we'll stick with the 3 attackers at home (as per Cambridge) or the three midfielders (like Saturday).

Yeh i'd go along with that, use Lee sparingly to protect him.

What did folk who went Saturday think of Dempsey's brief appearance?

Not heard anything really.

He didn't do anything positive of note but he didn't track back well for their goal. MJ and Morley were out of position and probably much more tired than he was yet they both got back faster than him.

Can't really judge him yet though.

No way I’d drop Lee if he’s fit, he’s by far our best and most creative midfielder. I know we have to use him sparingly but against footballing teams like Charlton and on our good surface he must start. Wanderers 2 Addicks 0.
