  • They dont represent me or 90% of our support. They are the minority. Not us. They sit from afar casting judgment on our fan base, sat in silence offering nothing but condescending criticism

  • had a look it runs of Joomla - which is free to download it has a template theme - which you download and install, then configure the colours - they are free too so setting up the site

  • ok,breaking this down a bit, based on my experience   Running a transactional website with a database of around 6000 requires a professionally constructed and securely maintained website.

AGM coming. Here’s the agenda.

How strange where the board can propose a motion and a board member can second the motion.

Stranger still that they’re asking members to sanction them not having the books audited.

Motion No 1
Motions for Debate
 That subject to the provisions of the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014, the members of the society shall not require an audit for the accounts covering the current financial year ending on 31 July 2023.
The members of the society agree that the accounts for the financial year ending on 31 July 2023 do not require a full audit provided that:
• The total income for that year does not exceed the threshold laid down by the FSA for audit exemption (currently £100,000);
• An independent examination of those accounts is carried out in place of the full audit;
• The independent examination is carried out in line with the best practice of the FSA;
• The independent examination is carried out in compliance with the rules and regulations of
the Financial Conduct Authority.
Proposed by: BWFCST Board Seconded by: Ian Bridge
Motion No 2
That the Report of the Directors and Statement of Financial Activities for the Year Ended 31 July 2022 as issued to members prior to the meeting is approved for filing with the Financial Conduct Authority.
Proposed by: BWFCST Board Seconded by: Maggie Tetlow
Motion No 3
The Trust resolve to expand its board/committee structure, as previously proposed numerous times, to be more inclusive and representative of the clubs fan base, including, but not limited to, under 25s. Moreover, to engage in a more meaningful way with the WHOLE fan base, (eg open meetings) to gain a better insight into supporters' views.
Proposed by: Simon Nightingale Seconded by: Arvind Jadwa
No further motions received.
Notes
The above motions will be voted on by members with Motion No 1 requiring a majority of 75% of votes cast and Motions No 2 & No 3 requiring a simple majority.
Voting will be carried out during the meeting by means of a show of hands and also an online poll.

Tbf (and this is coming from someone who does not like ST) they are saying as their income is under £100k they do not need a full audit of the books which I imagine would cost well into the low £0000s instead they have a cheaper check of the books.
Does it say in the accounts how much their income is ? Found it, says about £7700 so they have approx 750 members.

That’ll be paying members, don’t think you have to pay the yearly subscription to be a member.

couple of interesting things mentioned tonight, the stadium naming will be decided and released in next couple of weeks, biggest deal ever and long term deal, also I follow getting binned off and BWFCTV incoming.

iFollow was a great solution during covid times but served a purpose and a very good move from the club to create their own and benefit off the revenue it generates

loyalty scheme being looked at and buying a new keeper in the summer as Traff will become cities No 2..

More focussed on identifying “dealers” in the ground

@Mounts KipperWas Hart asked why were his own customers in the esl inconvenienced and funneled down the concourse to the far exit instead of just keeping away fans in for a few minutes after the game?

Sounds similar to derby.   They have ramstv that showed our game tother week.  Was a lot better than ifollow.

Please dont bring the same commentators across 'it's a sore one I can tell you'  and my personal favourite ' its Ethel from breightmets 60th birthday today and shes going for a 5-1 victory for the whites'   it's the 88th minute and its 0-0 !!

That are aiming to match Charlton tv which is supposedly very polished, that’s the end goal.
