A mate of mine has Paranoid Schizophrenia. The voice that tells him to do terrible things is a Manc. Literally drives him mad. Imagine being constantly followed around by a bloke with a strong Mancunian accent telling you to smash peoples heads in, and there's nothing you can do to get rid of him. He's calmed down a lot since he was diagnosed and medicated. He's a fucking beast as well. It's a miracle he hasn't killed anyone. Anyway, I was at a wedding with him last night, paying £5.30 a pint (Peroni), and fuck knows how much on Sambuca's. Fairly sure one round I bought for 7 of us was over £100. Daren't check my banking app for confirmation. I'd rather not know.

Our village pub has just had a refurb, a pint of Morreti is now £6.10

It's been rammed all weekend, so I'm not sure folk are that arsed. 

People who whinge about how much a pint costs do have a choice of going elsewhere or staying in....... If you can't afford it, tough, just find somewhere else to drink

I remember 70p vodka and lemonades at 5th ave with a taxi home and a kebab for £15 at uni. 

I'd switch it all for £4k houses like some of the old cunts on here!

My local is 6 quid a pint. It's still rammed.

 

Beer is expensive, but so is everything.

They must set their prices based on the custom at any one time. Nam Ploy (Middlebrook) is the same chain as Crofters (Bradshaw) and White Horse (Edgworth) both of which sell Moretti at £4/pt. 

Fridays in Crofters between 4 and 7 pm it’s £3/pt and they won’t be selling at a loss.

When i started drinking in horwich in 93 it was something like £1.50 for a pint of labatts and £1.75 for stella  

£1.20 for 10 embassy and you could get nicely pissed with a donor barm for £10 

I was on £2.56 an hour at Tesco

Remember starting uni in Sheffield in 95 and paying £2 for a pint of Becks and thinking fuck me this is expensive

Hardly any waiting time and a decent outside area when weathers nice (fair enough it’s on a car park)

Can’t comment on the hotel yesterday but past experience when there’s a bigger crowd on the queues start early and getting a seat can be hard
