I'm no apologist for the Nevilles, and I wish they'd bought Bury and saved them, but some possible explanations: Giggs, Scholes, Butt, Beckham have no connection to Bury; I stand to be corrected but don't think Bury were for sale/in trouble at that time? (2014; Steve Dale only bought Bury in Dec 2018).  The class of 92 wanted to run a club not just own it, presumably Bury had their own chairman/chief exec etc that did the day to day decision making.  A completely different project, I can see the attraction of taking over a club about the size of Daisy Hill and taking it up the leagues, at Bury the plan would have been to survive and to stay where it was, where's the thrill in that for non fans.

Salford are losing 91k per week, what’s the point of that club being a league team.

What’s that in comparison to other clubs in L2?

Bill Kenwright also tried to donate £1 million to Bury to save them, but the league refused it as he holdings in another team.

Bill Kenwright is one of the nastiest, cheapest, most bullying twats that's ever drawn breath.

Whilst I don't want Everton to go down, if they did just because it'd make that wanker upset I'd be pleased.

Cheers.

Was Reid involved somewhere along the line too?

All very blurred in my head, but reid and robson may have both been partners in bennys?

There average is 2,152 lowest in the football league . So take away the away support they get in the ground they probably have about 1500 fans . And they want to move to the rugby ground a much larger Staduim for them to rattle around in 😂

Robson owned the bar adjoining Bennys, called ‘Robsons’ funny enough. Reidy frequented the gaff but i don’t think he had any business interest in it.
