Why aren’t the government sorting this? I'm beyond caring or trying to work it all out, I just get on with paying for it, and hope that it'll eventually sort itself. When I last checked, I was over £1K in credit, as the DD of about £450 per month they decided to put me on is massively, massively over the top Quote

I’ll have the gas that’s 100p please. I don’t mind if it’s not as hot. In the meantime, Il give meter reading that show my honest usage of 1 chunk of gas. I’m sure future meter readings will be beneficial. Quote
Site Supporter FrancisFogarty Posted April 21, 2023 Site Supporter Posted April 21, 2023 Aldi gas. That's what we want, not this 800p Fortnum n Masons toffs gas. Quote
ErnestTurnip Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Us drinkers are well aware of this type of scam but loads will be happy paying for "craft gas" and they need to take a look at themselves in the mirror. Quote
Site Supporter only1swanny Posted April 22, 2023 Site Supporter Posted April 22, 2023 Cadbury buttons.. £1 a pack this time last year, tesco have just put them up again £1.35.. Also got Terry's chocolate oranges 'on offer' at 1.50... we're a quid each in October.. Supermarkets are going to have a lot to answer for when it comes to announcing profits. Quote

We've been told to expect price drops around June/July. The "cap" was extended to account for it. If prices do not drop accordingly then no doubt the regulator will be onto them. Iirc, there was a little article somewhere recently, where ofgem has warned the companies about future behaviour. Guess we'll find out soon enough. Quote
