Gas is trading at 100p right now, it was 800p last year.

just had an email from my gas provider to say prices won’t be dropping.

Why aren’t the government sorting this?

Maybe because the gas was bought at 800p

I'm beyond caring or trying to work it all out, I just get on with paying for it, and hope that it'll eventually sort itself. When I last checked, I was over £1K in credit, as the DD of about £450 per month they decided to put me on is massively, massively over the top

I don’t want that gas.

I’ll have the gas that’s 100p please. I don’t mind if it’s not as hot.

In the meantime, Il give meter reading that show my honest usage of 1 chunk of gas. I’m sure future meter readings will be beneficial.

Cadbury buttons..

£1 a pack this time last year, tesco have just put them up again £1.35..

Also got Terry's chocolate oranges 'on offer' at 1.50... we're a quid each in October..

Supermarkets are going to have a lot to answer for when it comes to announcing profits.

Yep.

We've been told to expect price drops around June/July. The "cap" was extended to account for it.

If prices do not drop accordingly then no doubt the regulator will be onto them. Iirc, there was a little article somewhere recently, where ofgem has warned the companies about future behaviour.

Guess we'll find out soon enough.

I thought the Twix-o-meter was coming out then.

Is there any superficial damage on the boxes?

Home bargains / quality save is the place for chocolate and sweets. 3 ripples for a £1. Practically giving it away at that price. Same price for 3 Turkish delights .

Do you suggest they start selling at a loss in order to make less of an impact on the cost of living crisis?

Eating a Turkish Delight is like eating a chocolate -coated bar of soap. It's pure coincidence that I also interfere with cats.
