Guest The Special One Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Its too late for these pr??cks to be going, this country is f??cked. Maggie Tate Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Bit of a pity I think. We need more politicians who look like they're getting a nosh during interviews and speeches.

Traf Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 Personally, I think it's all bollocks. So, he fast-tracked a visa aplication and gave away a ragging train ticket. So what? He proved he's human, that's all. Saw a perk of the job and exploited it. Hands up those who haven't taken advantage of a perk from work?
Zico Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 traf totally agree but when you take liberties at work you know that their is a consequnce if you get caught as I found out when I built the Hermaphrodite Shit Party website I knew you had to pay royalties to use the images but still....
Bigtoe Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 Bit of a pity I think. We need more politicians who look like they're getting a nosh during interviews and speeches. F??ck me, now that made me laugh.... especially with jayc's picture!
Bea Smith Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 what blunkett did, is just taking a perk as traf quite rightly pointed out, we are all aware that every politician does this. ive no doubt that there are many more extreme cases of corruption, bribery and misuse of funds than a visa and a train ticket. However, he is in the public eye, he is aware like any other 'celebrity' that their lives/actions etc are public property. He is earns an amount of money that means he has to live an impeccable lifestyle in order not to embarress himself or the government. He totally fecked us over immigration., asylum etc which already stood him on rocky ground etc. He has had an affair/ alledgedly a child with a married woman, which takes the mick out of all the family values lectures we get off the government. I have to give credit where its due, he seems to have played this out in public and with more honesty than most mp's could muster. And i hope if the child is proven to be his that he is given regular access as he is obviously fighting for his right to be his father. But, he has been discredited, shown to be untrustworthy with government funds, let lord knows how many scroungers into the country, and bummed his guide dog with swanny, next to widnes and the goat. What more can i say??
mickbrown Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 As I heard on the radio today - she's the one who had an affair. He's a single bloke - he had no moral obligation to the other bloke - the woman did and she's the one who a) Shagged another bloke behind her husbands back. When Blunkett wants access to his son, spits the dummy goes to the press and tells them how he fast tracked a nanny for her and sets out to destroy him. Aye he was stupid, but who's the real fecker in all of this?
Casino Posted December 16, 2004 Author Posted December 16, 2004 she is however the labour shower spent the last few years of tory rule spouting allegations of sleaze this and sleaze that can't feel sympathy when it comes back the other way
Bea Smith Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 she is however the labour shower spent the last few years of tory rule spouting allegations of sleaze this and sleaze that can't feel sympathy when it comes back the other way exactly, thats why if they cant live perfect lives they shouldnt take the whopping salary. the mp's know the job comes with the requirement of being untouchable.
mickbrown Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 But when the Tories (who were married to some horsey bint from Surrey probably) were sticking it in everything that moved, they were prattling on about being the party of family values and how single mothers were the source of all evil. They were being hypocrites and rightly got slated for it.
Guest ian Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 she is however the labour shower spent the last few years of tory rule spouting allegations of sleaze this and sleaze that can't feel sympathy when it comes back the other way is a major difference that once the email was produced that said 'no favours, but quickly' that blunkett resigned ? jeffery archer stood for lord mayor of london after paying a prostitute to keep quiet about his affair. stan take those tory blue high rate tax payer glasses off and you might have a different view on life. i like your use of the word 'allegations' given aracher has served a prison term think it is safe to say 'case proved'.or even proven.
Casino Posted December 16, 2004 Author Posted December 16, 2004 was archer the only one ever accused then if i'd only meant archer i wouldn't have used the word 'allegations' would i come on ian, keep up ps high rate tax payer...isn't everybody these days?
mickbrown Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 Stan - most of the accussed had their nib in the ink. Can't think of any who successfully sued for libel.
Guest ian Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 was archer the only one ever accused then if i'd only meant archer i wouldn't have used the word 'allegations' would i come on ian, keep up ps high rate tax payer...isn't everybody these days? not be fair aitken went to prison as well and as for 'disgraced ex mp' mr hamilton !! can you confirm stan you asking these questions for free or do you want some cash ?
Carlos Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 Stan, you are losing this argument and losing it badly. Much as I dislike Blunkett, I don't think that he's actually done anything wrong here. Someone obviously has bent the rules, not broken them, and as it is in Blunkett's department he is ultimately responsible, so he's resigned. All in all, very honourable.
Traf Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 An average MP's salary is ??55,000. This is not a huge salary for the responsibilty of the position they hold. A headteacher at a primary school earns ??40,000 nowadays. Secondary school headteachers earn anything up to ??120,000, the salary offered at several Manchester High Schools recently.
Maggie Tate Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 ??55,000 is a drop in the ocean when you compare the boards, executives and committees the fuckers sit on for private companies away from their job as an MP. If there is one MP in Britian who 'gets by' on solely his ??55,000 as an MP I will cunniling my own anus.
