Popped in, queue far to big with only one bar so went hotel 

The setup though was really good, match on bit music, perfect

Spoke to one chap who did say there was another bar going in, which is great 

First thoughts, to much food available and not enough drink, which is all that most fans want 

Will definitely improve

need to speed it up or folk will sack it off 

Lots of Villa floating around outside it tonight, think its quite visible once you get near Lofthouse statue so some try their luck.

Enjoyed it in there tonight decent atmosphere but that queue is taking piss, second bar opening will make a big difference.

As will winter 😆

Seen the queue, so walked to the hotel, never had to queue in there.

We drank in Wycombe’s large tent alongside Wycombe fans with no trouble.

Stop the knobheads going in from both home and away .

Villa a different kettle of fish to Wycombe I'd say. And the nature of our day down there a few seasons ago would have made a difference too.

Wouldn't fancy having mixed home and away support in our fanzone, it's for us.

Thousands of Villa fans all knocking around McDonald’s, KFC etc before the game. Don’t disagree with keeping the fan zone as home only - we’ve waited long enough after all - but there must be a way of monetising the (sensible) away fans other than trying to get them in the ground early

Get in early doors , even at 18.45 only waited 5 mins .

Surely a similar set up for away fans is possible. Or opening up earlier

Take a look at Beehive prior to the big games. Saturday and last night would have massive takings. It only applies a few games each season but why would Bolton Wanderers not want to tap into that? The smaller, non-rival clubs could certainly share the space we use. What’s going to kick off against Forest Green?

Agree though they'd have to go back to categorising the matches. Its mixed at west brom and never encountered issues there.

Runs the risk of getting swamped with away fans... they already have prime parking and access.

So folk are saying its hard to get served, yet want to invite away fans in 🤔

Great to see local people offering the catering.

Don’t you think it’s possible staff numbers need looking at if you increase customer numbers? 

I’m not into making it a nice visit for away fans but I guess that’s the way it’s going now all family geared up

With the fanzone it’s not as much staff numbers it’s how competent, few last night didn’t have a clue 

 

Away fans should have their own set-up, like we did at Wycombe.

I don’t particularly want to have a drink with 500 Derby fans.

I agree you wouldn't want it swamped with away fans, but Derby are probably the only team that will bring much over 1k for the rest of the season.  We've been spoiled with these 2 big home games, it was like being in a higher division for a week, but we're back to 500 away fans every game so "away fans in fanzone" is irrelevant for 4 months.

Again a fanzone which uses the bars in the away would be better. Get sky on the tv and get the fans in

Maybe they could have it on the bit of car park they block off for absolutely no reason at all.

They wont get staff when they only work about 3 days a month and pay them minimum wage (August has been an exception)
