The Queen

Seems to have taken a turn for the worse.

She is 96.

  • RIP. Very sad.  Whether you're Royalist, anti-Royalist or somewhere in between.  For the vast majority of us, she's been our Queen for all our lives.  Feels strange that it's no longer the case.

  • She did this. And she probably didn’t have to because she was the Queen. But she did. What a woman.

Just got home. Was at Hyde Park for the London section, watching on the big screens with tens of thousands of others who wanted to be part of it. Wandered down to Green Park and Piccadilly for a spot of lunch, after the Queen left Wellington Arch. Amazing atmosphere.

I’m not a royalist, but it was something the kids and I will always remember. Will put my feet up with a glass of wine when the nippers are in bed and will watch the Windsor leg, which was on record.

Hopefully they will now get left alone

Nah. Nice walk, big fuck off shepherds pie in the oven and a few beers in the garden.

Surprised you had time considering the number of times you’ve posted on here.

Aye, proper used my entire bank holiday up.

It clearly hit Charles when he had to place the crest on the coffin and watch it go down.

Strip away all the massive situation around this, today he was a bloke burying his mum, and maybe that was the first time he’s had chance to fully take that in.

That (and the piper) we’re the bits that, in the end, I found the most powerful and personal.

Aside from that, Britain put on a flawless display over the last 11 days. GSTK 👑 🇬🇧

Well said Spider

😊 Fibber.

I'm surprised they played the theme music to The Vicar of Dibley.

I think it must have been her favourite programme or something?

I'll tell you something else. That Princess Anne has put some hours in, and some miles. And she's no chance of being the Queen.

Royal of the week for me, Anne. And she's only little.

She’s tough as old boots, some lady.

Thought it was a nice touch her pony and dogs got to watch her go by

I don't think I'll ever forget this particular section

Especially the Bagpipes playing Mist Covered Mountains

Favourite bits;

when the lone piper started at the Abbey

The procession up the long walk in Windsor

Really? There has been some utter bonkers behaviour over the last 10 days.

London has become a nut house.

Also, I've realised I hate pipers.

Right, was lovely but roll on tomorrow.

I think you might just be right.

Or it might at least quieten down calls for a second referendum for a while.....
