I'm sure there is more to it, but I will state that baring in mind that GMP have had their arse's smacked over the AO arena bombing, that they might be less willing to take chances, and something must have happened to cause an officer (who knows there is CCTV and Cameras, and witnesses and colleagues, to snap like that. 

Not in anyway saying what he did was right, but something has ticked him off.

This is the whole thing - what actually happened hasn't come out yet - apparent some things were said on the flight. But until it does, probably best to reserve judgement
