I realise I’m wasting my breath but…..this is the exact same sort of thing the Nazis did. ‘Why can’t we say the Jews have stolen all our money and are terrorists’?

Being Muslim doesn’t make you more likely to commit crime but if you are simply amplifying any crime by someone who has a Muslim sounding name and pretending you can’t say anything because they are Muslim - it’s entirely the same sort of tactic the Nazis used.

If we were to post every crime committed by a white Christian man of which there are a lot daily and say the same stuff you do about this then you’d rightly be outraged and think it ridiculous.

And if you genuinely think that Muslims are a lesser people and more likely to commit crime simply because they are Muslim or amplify what they commit because you want to make a point - I mean that’s the definition of ‘racist’ isn’t it?

It’s perfectly acceptable to look at crimes and causation. But if you are of the mindset that there is an inherent issue with a bloke who happens to be Muslim vs one that isn’t you’ve answered your own question.

 

This will be completely wasted as a post as clearly people are very far down a rabbit hole but that’s the issue. You won’t agree. But it is. And where it ends up is not a good place.

I found these in the Bolton news this afternoon, mate.

Personally I think we're on dangerous ground when we only focus on one section of society and allow ourselves to believe that they're always the culprits.

We've an inbuilt tendency to seek out news that agrees with conclusions we've already drawn. It's called confirmation bias. And I think that's probably what's happening here.
