  • Can not speak for @gonzo but coming back yesterday we ended up with one  of our seats double booked with a protester. We chatted most of the way back, I told him I  was not a supporter and he was fine

  • I just wish folk would stop producing bollocks information and spreading it. 3 kids have been murdered ffs and the first thing someone can think of is set up a fake twitter profile and post some

  • Anyone who thinks Starmer covered up for grooming gangs because he in some way thinks it’s ok, is off their fucking box. Hes a dull as shit, methodical legal cunt. Unfortunately, to get justice p

Probably not.

Similarly Starmer and Philips organising a poster campaign pre-election saying Sunak doesn't want to lock up paedophiles won't have helped neither.

Lock them all up then.

Yeah that wasn't a great moment. For once I did agree with McDonnell and it was just ripping off the Tory strategy.

And I'm not sure Philips was high enough up in the election strategic planning to have organised it herself given she wasn't even in the shadow cabinet at the time having resigned her position.

Just try and get him started on men kissing in television programmes.

It's like that Little Britain sketch with the WI women vomiting.

It’s been quiet on the boat people lately. What happening, have we smashed the gangs?

If you are that interested in the actualities - here's an interesting read from December last year

Interesting indeed, so as soon as the Rwanda scheme was scrapped crossing increased. Must have just been a coincidence.

Ok, Mark Twain.

The whole article doesn't qualify your narrative analysis.

Plough on a bit more.

Yes, it isn't a Daily Mail article that's correct.

At a guess I’d say continued Israel military attacks on civilians and the fall of Syria to an Islamic group would be two big factors. There must still be plenty coming from Afghanistan as well.

Are there any figures showing Palestinians coming here via the channel?

Vietnamese are by far the highest demographic coming on small boats.

Albanians won't be behind.

The fall of Syria certainly isn't behind the increase.

Cooper followed some of her European compatriots in stopping applications from Syrian folk, and this happened after the increase in numbers started.

If anything, as this "ban" takes full effect, it should bring the numbers down a bit.

Whether any arriving by boat will be instantly returned, as they can't apply, I doubt very much.

Whatever the reasons behind the crossings, they're not going to significantly reduce, let alone stop, any time soon.

There might be other factors but those won't be

Id say the biggest factor will be the drug and money laundering gangs requiring more employees.

From war-torn Vietnam and Kurdistan of course.
