AI also doesn't give an indication into the relative severity of the crimes being committed by each of the groups. So it could be that the AS group committed more serious crimes - but the article doesn't seem to be suggesting that explicitly (although it's definitely written in a style to try and make you believe that). So I'm sceptical about the numbers without seeing exactly how they came to that conclusion. And also surprised that offending rates amongst asylum seekers aren't higher than the background population.
