So how will that be achieved by walking through London?

That's a whole different debate. I was just pointing out that it wasn't for a ceasefire like you said.

You can't really measure these things. But many would argue that public pressure across Europe has pushed leaders into recognising statehood. Whether it leads to it is a different matter. Big summit in Egypt on Monday.

  • Can not speak for @gonzo but coming back yesterday we ended up with one  of our seats double booked with a protester. We chatted most of the way back, I told him I  was not a supporter and he was fine

  • I just wish folk would stop producing bollocks information and spreading it. 3 kids have been murdered ffs and the first thing someone can think of is set up a fake twitter profile and post some

  • Anyone who thinks Starmer covered up for grooming gangs because he in some way thinks it’s ok, is off their fucking box. Hes a dull as shit, methodical legal cunt. Unfortunately, to get justice p

Maybe those who had ceasefire signs were at the wrong demo then.

I told you why above. Because they’re fkin idiots

You expressed your profound opinion above aye.

But I said 'how' not 'why'.

Got to admire their stamina 😉

I'm just going off what the organisers said & how it has been reported.

Anyone holding a 'ceasefire now' sign is a bit daft yes 😄

Fuck knows. I don't get it either to be honest.

I can get folk who protest about stuff we are affected by or involved in; like the poll tax, Iraq war, etc but there's protests every day in London about one thing or another.

They enjoy the power trip that comes with being able to shut down/takeover areas of a big city for a day

I get that may apply to the organisers but what about all those attending? Are they just bored with their lives?

The thrill also applies to many, probably a majority, of those protesting

But it gives them a sense of community

They jump in straight away every time

Thick as shit

Haha.

Well, at 31, he might get away with the middle age bit.

Mind you is he self defining as white British? These are strange times we live in.

There's folk on here march side by side with him.

All I want to do with a free Saturday is go on a nice long walk, preferably with a pint at the end. Then back home to watch a game and cook something nice.

I've no idea how these people do it week in week out, genuinely. And that goes for those on the far right and far left.

I do however think we owe so many of our freedoms to protest. You can't underestimate it's power.

I wouldn't be enjoying a free Saturday if not for protest 🙂

I'm not sure they're achieving much these days though.

I’d go with this. It’s the “Us against Them”  mentality

I get it. Eldest is one of them. Been on pro-Palestine marches. I don’t try to stop her. She doesn’t try to persuade me to join her. Both of us know that it would be a waste of time arguing with each other

Each to their own. Never been on a march. Never been to a vigil. Never lit a candle at one. Highly doubt I will ever do any. Those that do? Crack on if that’s your thing. Doesn’t affect my life one iota

Imagine the panic it would cause if you saw a load of burqhas running down the street

That would also be an example of women being treated unequally.

Think this is a good example of where people have been afraid to speak out in the past. It's good to see this has been reported across a variety of media this morning.

The Mosque in question should be told to reverse it's decision or face prosecution. If it refuses, close it down.

For too long religion has been given a free pass to breach the equality act.

Now if you'd said berks.......................

May be an image of football, American football and text that says "SophieSpring97 @SophieP25397 Remember when Gary Neville opened his hotel free of charge to NHS staff who needed somewhere to stay during the early stages of lockdown. That's surely more patriotic than hanging a flag made in China on a lamp post and painting a roundabout and screaming at mentally ill guys faxtball"

I see Tommeh is back in court again.

Elon Musk is paying all his legal bills for this case.
