How do you know little thought has been put into the set up. The way I see it the academy is vitally important to the long term future of the club. We need good solid and experienced paeople running it and also integrating the "product" into the first team. This is were JP and SL come in. They are highly qualified coaches who have been brought through or brought in to oversee this and make it a success. Why move them to first team and then have to recruit at the academy level when you can bring in a manager who can also fit into the long term project. (DF brings through young players at Palace) I suspect all these discussion have been had with the relavent people as we need to remember the people running our club are experienced businessmen.

This is a continuation from last season. One of the biggest problems we have had was our inability to find a white shirt. Our powder puff mdfield are not strong enough to break away from a challenge and although we have two wingers we rarely use this outlet to widen the pitch and thus stretch the opposition midfield. I agree about the goals upto a point. Poor defending, though, directly impacted this and allowed them to get lucky.
