  1. Forgot about him. He looked good. Was involved in the good passing in the second half and moved the ball well and also broke forward well. Cisse came on as well at half time. Played in the defensive midfield role. Didn't have a great deal to do, got involved where he needed to do. Not sure if he was involved in their goal cos it went behind a pillar and i was not quick enough to look round it.
  2. I agree with all this. I can't remember seeing KD win a header. The first half was not great. Very few men getting in the box when the ball was out wide so no options. I don't think Eagles behind the striker is the answer. Second half was much better after about 7 changes at half time. A lot more passing with a few good moves - we actually found white shirts more often than not. I thought Wylde looked good and kept tight to the wing and ran at them. Players got in the box more and although we didn't test the keeper much we did have a few more chances. Eaves looked ok up fron - better than KD. Their goal came just after Alonso moved to Centre half when Blakeman came on for Knight. He went chasing into the middle to close someone down - didn't get there and was then out of position. Can't read to much into the first game but overall it was interesting to see that the younger players in the second had more about them the the older lot.
  3. £30 for a family ticket sounds very good value to me. What is that 2 adults and one child?
  4. I am in. I am in Glasgow area overnight so would be rude not to attend. I am assuming you can pay on the gate. Can't get through to either of the ticket offices. Ayr's website says it a tenner. COYWM
  5. Its very good. I have been a few times and always had a good meal. They sometimes have a "Greek Night" with a set buffet style meal with greek music and dancing on tables etc. They only thing missing is plate smashing. That would be dangerous in Heywood as it would cause a riot. The Bela Sera is a very good Italian if you've not been. Heywood is blessed with a few good restaurants. Shame most of the pubs are crap.
  6. Parthanon in Heywood for a meal

  9. I am in Scotland at the moment and the concesus amongst fans of other clubs is they should be thrown out of the premier league. A lot of Aberdeen, Hibs, Hearts and Dundee Utd fans have lobbied their chairman to vote against allowing them to stay. A big Celtic fan says he will miss the old firm derby but it will only be for three years. There will be a vote in a few weeks and Rangers need a 8-4 majority (Courtesy of the Scottish Sun)
  10. Had a day in London on Saturday with a couple of mates. Met for a pub crawl around London Bridge Station. Cracking place. You come out of the station and that new Shard building is right in front of you. A couple of 100 yards to the east of the bridge was having lunch in a deer graden overlooking HMS Belfast. An hour later and was in a beer garden a couple of hunderd yards west of the bridge overlooking the Golden Hind. Altogether more pubs that I had time for, great beer, lots of "Jack and Danny" to watch and the stink wasn't too bad.

  17. I have one which was a leaving present from work 2 years ago. It was supposed to be used for promotional work but the club was persuaded to sell it (or so i am told - might be bullshit). Anyway it is signed by the whole squad and is a proper kitroom shirt. Unfortunately it is in such a large frame it won't go anywhere in the house. I am loathe to sell it though as when i have looked on e-bay they tend to go for peanuts - if at all.
