  4. Anybody remember the Green Final? Used to be on sale outside Burnden when match finished if you hung around for a few minutes after game ended they had all the results for the old Ist division,i seem to remember they had a van with a printing press in and they would publish results in the stop press part of paper,if i didnt have enough money to buy one i used to run home in time for sports report at 5 on the radio. Was only way to get results until Sunday then if my owld memory serves me right.

  6. Didnt he end up with a car business? Warrick Rimmer Autos i think it was called.Wasnt a great player but loyal and steady would be how i remember him.

  8. Played against Alan Ball at school late 1950`s he had just signed for Blackpool. Did nowt against us tho.
  9. We seem tired after Sat not much energy from Lee and the front 2,Wilshere playing good but we need to up it a bit. Their defense seems rocky and i think if we pressure them enough we can still get something from the game.
  10. Utter crap, we couldnt score in a brothel If Taylor was moaning about coming off he wasnt watching same game as me he was terrible, but saying that a few more had nothing to be proud of,Elmander is like a headless chicken,he tries to run through people. Decent game from the centre backs Knight played well again, but i just cant see were we will get a goal, created nowt and what half chances we had we wasted, over all good point i suppose but we are going to struggle if we cannt improve on this performance.
  11. Shite pitch shite game 2 crap teams how Robinson and Taylor earn a living in this league is beyond me
  12. For us in New Zealand its on sky sports

Just watched full replay of game on tv here, first of all i think we played very good today no really bad performances, and some good football played. I think critisising any of the players today is a bit unfair, altho jussi had a couple of bad moments i think we should remember what the guy has done for us over the years before we critisise too much. As for that tackle by Gallas it was as bad a tackle as i have seen for a long time he was nowhere near the ball he went right over the top, he needs banning and if Wenger sticks up for him he is as guilty as him.
  14. Agreed he hasnt proven himself at this level yet
  15. If we beat Lincoln on Sat,and IF we get points at Arsenal and Sunderland with Mr Wigley in charge will he become favorite for managers job?
  16. Wyn Davies to join with the rest of the Davies`s
  17. I agree its about time people realised we ARE in the top and richest league in the world, playing against some of the best teams in the world, when, not so long ago we were in the bottom division and playing the worst teams. So, if by playing weakened teams in competitions that do not, and will not keep us in the top league , i for one would sooner that be the case than having a run in any cup competition
  18. Im in Auckland bloody rainy Auckland feels like home
  19. Thanks from me to im in the same place so find these links very handy.Great win today did they play well?
  20. Would just like to say that if this is the case is this reduction a crafty plan to get the north stand full of ST holders, so that the people who pay for their tickets weekly will be forced to buy for the more expensive areas of the ground? .......just a thought like
  21. I would like to pay my respects to dave as well,i lived in Morris Green before coming out here and every week Dave would come and knock on my door rain or shine for the Goldline money he was a great man would spend ages talking about his beloved BWFC and giving me all the rumours about the club, but, more than that he was a genuine gentleman, one who is rare these days hope he is resting in peace now
