  1. A mate you say? Did you get him DEAD?
  2. Not sure it is a scam when folk actually buy the products, knowingly so. Cheap plastic tat it may be, but that's the choice. Little uns having a bit of fun is fine. Though some of them are greedy sods. Older teenage twats smashing up displays etc can fuck right off.
  3. Whereas Grandad has been spectacular in keeping them out when he's played! One shouts far more, one is more agile and doesn't appear to have aged a decade during the summer. We definitely need a leader in there, but that needn't be a keeper any more than a centre half. Not one of our team is completely commanding in his position, but that's just where we are at the moment.
  4. Dixon has on a few occasions come out and not got anywhere near the ball- perhaps a touch of inexperience. Beyond that he's been ok for me. Jussi was similar in his early days. Not saying Dixon will go on to such heights but he can improve and get stronger. There are bigger problems in all other areas.
  5. Going to be a more difficult game than it should be I reckon.
  6. You were doing so well until the last sentence. Flu vaccines are less effective, taken by fewer people yet the death rate is higher with covid. In years to come, countries may learn to live with it, like they have with mers and sars, doesn't mean that covid won't kill more than flu in years to come. Especially as they'll "compete" for the weak and vulnerable.
  7. https://www.statista.com/statistics/863893/support-for-the-monarchy-in-britain-by-age/ Maybe they have.
  8. Macron is trying to bolster support for his efforts to get re elected. Impounding boats and creating a storm isn't best preparation for a major climate change forum. Nor is threatening to cut off electricity supplies. Le Pen at al will be rubbing their hands together.
  9. Wow. Can see the plume of silt washed into the lakes.
  10. Has swearing been stopped anywhere else that you are aware of? The statement explained we were following the line of many other clubs with this membership scheme, and I've not heard anything about fans elsewhere packing it in because they can't swear etc. If they wanted to sanitise it, they would already have done- they have your information already.
  11. Whatever other clubs do is their business though. If FV are anticipating some incoming fine and want to mitigate it, then it's understandable. Whether folk like it or not, fans reacting so strongly to an opposition player celebrating does the club no favours whatsoever. Doesn't matter what level you grade it as, the fact remains the ref nearly called them off and he will have included it in his report. That report may include the behaviour of the Wigan players and they may also find themselves with a punishment. Financially, they may he able to handle it better than our lot and, as I said, whatever happens to them is nothing to do with us.
  12. Kinell, that long- I'd be spoiling her!!😁
  13. When that arrived, I just happened to be looking out across soke woodland. Trees suddenly were blowing at a really large angle, and leaves seemed to explode from branches. Then the rain. All over within a minute or two.
  14. Don't step out when you're close to the edge, or you might find that you'll lose your head. Seems the song didn't work.
  15. Indeed. Not difficult. I've no doubt that if the tax increase hadn't happened, then the accusations would have been that the government is leaving the repayments to the next generation. Can't win. It's only a temporary ni rise anyway. I do think that vat should be reduced on energy costs though. I listened to his response to this, and it largely made sense, but I'm not sure that the alternative mitigations will help everyone who could perhaps do with a little help.
  16. All good, just need boosters getting sorted, as it's believed part of our high numbers is due to waning immunity. Will be interesting to see if numbers rise again in Europe as they approach 6 months since the second vaccination.
  17. Pcr tests aren't bobbins at all. What a ridiculous statement. It could be argued that they're too good. If however, a different test is preferable, then someone will develop one won't they.
  18. He should be capable, but he isn't showing it. How long does Evatt persist with him?
  19. The fields opposite the top bull, sloping down to starmount were surveyed earlier this year, at the bottom end where they're so wet. Presumably looking at housing. Been in wyresdale club a few times in the past too.
  20. Fair point, but we've experienced that before. Should have beaten villa too, but the shine has since gone. Wembley should be for the final. Devalued the competition for me.
  21. There is a bit of grass adjacent to those allotment type units with chickens on, but only rough stuff as far as I can remember. Must be looking to construct their own new pitch from the new found wealth.
  22. Do we want government telling private sporting bodies how to go about their business? I know they threatened to legislate over the superleague but that was to protect the game as a whole, and didn't need to in the end. As for the government themselves, keep going along the list, then as the bond film line went, if we refused to do business with these countries, there'd be virtually no one left to trade with. Russia, Saudi, China, Qatar etc. Little gas, little petrol, few white goods, phones etc etc. Just not a reasonable comparison.
