The formation Sam plays (Defensive midfielders) relies heavily on the two full backs getting up and down the pitch and overlapping the right midfielders at every opportunity. I know Bruno, Tal Ben and probably Barness are all better full backs but will they do a better job going forward. I don't think so. Sometimes his crossing is woeful but at least he does get past the halfway line unlike Barness and Bruno. Hunt does loose concentration easily and gets caught out of position occasionally but I think he is the best full back for the way we play. Change to a standard 4-4-2 and he won't get a look in. The same applies to Gardner. He also gets a lot of stick but he is the right man for the left hand side. We have seen recently that although Caesar did a reasonable job defending we missed Gardner getting down the wing sometimes. I put it to you the members of the jury that Hunt is the right man for the job. I thank you.

The first game I can clearly remember was the last game of the 77/78 promotion season against Fulham. I can't remember too much of the game but that was probably because it ended 0-0. I do remember the pitch invasion afterwards though. Went to a couple of games that season but can't remember the games. Also remember the Frank Worthington goal at home against Ipswich when we lost 3-2. Fantastic goal and I was sat on the railings behind that net.

The only thing with playing our strongest side is if we lose our moral is going to be even lower than it is now. However if we play a strong side and we can get a good win it will give our confidence a real boost. Strongest side I think.

What we missed yesterday (and against Portsmouth) was any sort of creativity. If a team decides to play deep and invite the pressure on them, we just haven't got a clue. I cannot remember any of our players getting behind their defense. We just played hopeless nothing balls which any half decent defense can cope with. Especially when we are playing at home we need to be more adventurous. Although he is not playing well I think we should give Jay Jay a free role and play with Speed and Campo in from of the back four.
