Too negative?! We had 24 shots away at Charlton last week in the same shape. Plymouth scored 4 and Derby scored 3 playing 3/5 at the back. Every team in the top 6 plays 3/5 at the back so that isn’t a

2 very difficult back to back aways next, so these next 2 homes are must wins really.

Mind, I would still take 7 points from the 4 games to keep the nice gap below us.

Don’t lose any of the next four and win at least one

Just tried ringing ticket office, for both home and away tickets (different options) and it says "ticket office phone lines are closed until further notice" - something to do with protecting staff from Covid.

Anybody know anything about this, or been to ticket office in person this week?

Didn’t know it was transmissible down the phone.

is there a vaccine for that, @stevieb?

Presumably theyve had a case or two and have told folk to stay home for a bit to make sure no one else comes down with it and creates a spread.

Last thing we need are players getting it and it affecting our performances.

Has anybody seen anything on shoretires injury ?   If fit does he play the same position as last week with Lee behind or will it be a case of Charles and victor up front with either shoretire or Lee behind?

Either will do.

This, I reckon.

Evatt mentioned back spasm so assuming it settles quickly, he'll be fit for Saturday

Been training so expect him to be ok

Aye. But you've got to have 5 and they still won't work.

Better get there in person and stand on the safety stickers on the floor to be sure.

😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂

The problem with not having the points on the board yet is that every game for the rest of the season is going to be a "must win" so we're in for a proper roller coaster ride and will probably drop points against unfancied teams and pick up points where we don't expect to along the way. I believe we have the team to give us a real chance it if they all stay available but we do need a fair slice of luck to go with it and we can't afford any more lacklustre performances of the type we've had from time to time earlier in the season. I guess that's footie - we'll go into every game with hope and that's not a bad place to be.

I get that about points in the bag, but we're averaging approx 7pts every 4 games, which if continued puts us on 80pts for the season.

I'm not sure where 80 might put us, but I think I'd have taken 80 at the start.

Last season it would have put us 7th (we got 73 pts = 9th)

Wycombe were 6th with 83

Hopefully this team will push us higher.

You'd hope that with the squad improvements, that the points accrued rate would increase for the rest of the season.

12 wins out of the remaining games should do it - and looking at the fixtures we could get them if all goes well.

Then we can worry about the playoff games :)

Yes, I'd hope you were both right. Either way, 80pts won't leave us 10 shy of the play-off like last year, so we will have progressed.

But we did take 34pts from our last 17 games in 21/22, so a repeat puts us on 84.

So it's a simple equation then - 2 pts per game average for the rest of the season and we should make the playoffs.

Said it on the injuries thread, but 100% this. Toal is a good enough footballer that he can play left centre back, no way the new lad is anywhere other than the bench.

What will be interesting is when Johnston comes back - if that back 3 has been doing alright, is it Toal or Jones that make way?

lets see if anybody is fit

Toal is good on the left but I really hope we we just let him play his right sided wide centre back role as he offers so much on his natural side. When he steps into the midfield to link up with Morley/Bradley they're all massive threats, he's absolutely fantastic in that role.
