We were all discussing big Vic and many were critical last week.

If we're going to get the best out of him, we have to give him opportunities.

Like Haaland at city- when he get chances he tends to bury them. If they fuck about with it, he isn't scoring.

My argument has always been pretty much at any level strikers can finish. Obviously the higher up you go the more clinical they are. Just create the chances for em. Rest of the players do their job the strikers will do there’s

Agree. Obviously some strikers will drop off and link, whereas others like to play on the shoulder and others like to attack crosses.

About utilising their specific strengths. Which I think Evatt was hinting at in a previous interview.

Anyway, how is Sheehan fairing?

Well so far a couple of points.

Jones (aside from the assist) is a bit of a weak link. Keeps misplacing passes and was a bit suspect for their goal.

Toal is the same. He plays some odd passes and gives it away a bit too often.

Santos playing well.

Sheehan's corners are a bit toothless. It's like watching our corners from earlier in the season.

He plays for the foul and makes it very obvious he's backing in. He's his own worst enemy.

Good point. He does like a wrestle and isn't always subtle about it!

He's very good when in a foot race with a defender to a ball over the top or played down the side. Perhaps not big enough to put muscle a lump with his back to goal.

Half of two halves. Doing alright Id say.

My Wednesday mate reckons they always sit back too much after going a goal up against the bigger teams.

They were at us for 10-15 mins after they scored, dropped off a shade just before we equalised then our goal seemed to knock them, they dropped off a lot then and made it easier for us to get out from the back without much pressure

My neighbour said as much. They only need one as they are so good defensively. Also said they are missing a huge player for them in midfield. Can't remember his name
