Last minute Trafford

I've noticed in the last couple of weeks Trafford has got even later with releasing the ball... leaving it to the last minute to pass it to a defender. He's been caught out a couple of times lately without it leading to a goal.

It happened last night against Burton, and happened against Oxford on saturday too.

I really hope he doesnt leave it TOO late in one of the remaining games as I worry it's an accident waiting to happen and he's on his last couple of lives.

I think he's probably been watching Ederson too much. Is anyone else worried?

The title of this topic couldn't have been better written (if i do say so myself), even though it wasnt quite what i meant haha. Well done Traff. Future England no.1.

  • Love seeing lads like this, proper loves what he does, seems sound as fook, clearly loved his time with you. These are the things that non-matchgoing fans just don't understand.

I genuinely think he'll be the next, next England number one.

We had the next England number one but released him for having small ears or something.

To have a full season and half of first choice league one or higher GK with little rotation playing the style of football we've played... Absolutely made city millions.

But we also benefited just not to the same degree. He could have been biz and we sent him back quick sharp.

We should give you a pre season friendly and let you keep the profits as a thanks, says my City supporting mate.

And some think they haven't lost themselves up their own arses.

We'd bring less than them. Silly manc cunts.

Tbh, its all fuel to the lend us your talent fire

And at this stage, thats where we are at

Its ok, theres plenty better than him available for buttons @Johnnyrotten

I'm genuinely flabbergasted and interested to see how he gets on at Burnley.

But yes there will be plenty of keepers available on frees/lowish fees that are currently as good as him IMO (nobody has to agree).  Just because Burnley decide to pay stupid money for his undoubted potential doesn't alter that.

how does a buy back clause work?

are City basically sending him out on an expensive loan to help with FFP?

you'd have to say if he turns out to be a good PL keeper, then Burnley would probably profit from him

I would say its a deal that is good for everyone involved really, sure city put these buy back into every young lad they sell. That Porro that went to spurs recently, City got about £8 million from a sell on clause.

These prem transfer fees are so over the top now, its mental the amounts flying around, that this fee seems cheap on the face of it…and Burnley could make a fortune selling him on again in 2 years.

very very risky going with a young keeper in the prem, not often it works out too well, but you never know.

He looked very good behind 3  centre halfs in the 3rd Div but it will be  a tougher workload at Burnley!

Ramsdale will miss his chance, he is 25 now…and wont be getting the no 1 spot for 4 years or so….trafford may at that point already be ahead of him.

How old will pickford be when you get relegated in May? 😂

Thats a crazy fee, they do well city with flogging these young uns.

For context, that fee puts him in the top 15 for most expensive goalkeepers ever, in world football.

English tax + City premium

Kompany lining his ex employers pockets, we are talking Burnley here, they have lost the plot... pop incoming.

What a fuckin ray of sunshine you are  - why don’t you just stick the the red rags

It's steep, but Trafford's ceiling is being one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Hope he reaches it.

I know sorry, they're all brilliant my mistake. 76,000 went to Macclesfield in the third division that time and are all just happy go lucky lads salt of the earth, they all deserve this total domination they're now witnessing.

Every set of fans become unbearable when they get good....you lot in prem was a fkin nighmare at times, than you just all stopped going.

Our lot are unbearable all the time.

That's because we're not daft, we got bored of ourselves as well :D

Why do something as daft as spending money on a match ticket when you could be spending triple that on getting pissed watching it on Al Jazeera in the pub instead?

Thats what match going fans use as a critiscism to Armchair fans of United / RS etc....can't have it both ways....

Anyway.....Just seen a stat, since City opened its new academy, they have generated £300 million is player sales, in 9 years!!!

They will get 20% of this Lavia deal too, could be another £8 million.

What is going on at your place ?  Still no much needed signings,   is this gonna be another season struggle or is there some hold up with being able to spend?

More struggle and relagation battles coming, terribly run, crazy wage bill, bonkers owner....new "investors" wanting own board, can't do anything till thats sorted.

Don’t be suckered by Redcliffe. Man City are the kings of the transfer market. You almost have a city tax to pay on top. To be fair the rags churned some crap out in the 90s and 00’s and did the same just slightly less skilled at it.

Going back to your mates and casinos point they should give us someone good this year as a thank you.

My dislike of City is on a par with United tbh, no suckage here!

Blimey.    All the interviews at the end of the season saying never again and now from the outside things look worse.  The Brighton away game you looked like top 8 contenders and moving on but like you say it's a mess and another relegation scrap is on the cards
