Fixtures 23/24

Who do we want to start off with? I'd love a day out in Blackpool or Fleetwood on first day,but I'm guessing they'll be midweek or mid winter fixtures, anybody at home to start will do for me, 3 weeks today we'll find out.

Key dates are as follows:

  • Fixture Release Date – Thursday 22nd June 2023, 9:00am
  • Start Date – The weekend of 4-6 August 2023
  • Carabao Cup Round One – w/c 7 August 2023
  • Carabao Cup Final – Sunday 25 February 2024
  • EFL Trophy Round One – w/c 4 September 2023
  • EFL Trophy Final – Sunday 7 April 2024
  • League One Play-Off Final – Saturday 18 May 2024
  • League Two Play-Off Final – Sunday 19 May 2024
  • Championship Play-Off Final – Sunday 26 May 2024

There’s far far more boring first home games than those two……. They would both bring 2K plus. I’d settle for someone really shit at home like Cambridge & 3 points.

Think it was Huddersfield v Burnley. Not sure if any did in our league

  • None  I just went to find out who we got first before my mates and came back sponsoring Declan John  Will go again as assume I will get a discount next season or a pay as you play package

I reckon they will run it again but this time whilst accruing points, will see how the fixtures flop thursday (I know subject to change)

Hopefully, but probably wishful thinking... more likely they'll do the exact same as last season but be caught out by a big take up, leaving about 50 tickets on open sale for smaller allocations 😬

Surely they'll cap the away season ticket?

Hotels booked for Papa Johns final and Play Off final just in case.

Go on holiday on the 5th (shit planning) so:-
Any long ballache away game that I wouldn’t be going to regardless

or to wind Mrs 2094 up,

Anyone at home, Saturday 3 o’clock then straight to the airport for a flight at half 9, bosh.

These are international weekends for 23/24 so maybe will have to treat any of our fixtures on these dates with caution, if we sign up more internationals/U-21's:

9 September

14 October

18 November

23 March

I'm away 12th October on that presumption 😉

Didn’t dates change from those first advertised for playoffs? Sure a Sunday game suddenly became a Monday.

Play offs were just advertised as a weekend rather than a specific day this time. Papa John’s definitely had two different dates even as late as when we were in the quarter final!

Don’t think it’s been resolved? Wasn’t they on strike for cup final

Heard one of them say they could last anything from another year to another 5 years. Ha.

Nice away game first, go to that and then away for a fortnight so a crap home and away please.

Not bothered.

Not on the current mandate to strike. I think the nurses fell foul of their previous mandate running out part way through the last planned strike.

I have no idea how long a mandate to strike lasts but the longer this goes on it’s possible the appetite for the fight may change as union members realise the government’s offer is acceptable to them if not to the unions. (The leaders of these unions aren’t losing wages for the strike periods!)

I reckon it's a right boring first game, Carlisle or Port Vale at home or something but not arsed still buzzing for it.

If we can have home first game, boxing day and last game of the season then that would be terrific for me :)

We have been drawn into Group E in the northern section of the EFL trophy, alongside Bolton Wanderers and Salford City. The draw to decide which U21s side joins us will take place at 11.30am tomorrow, live on Sky Sports.

Maybe 2 trips to Salford then

Salford are the new Crewe. We'll probably get them in the league cup too

Absolutely god awful location. Nearest boozer must be at least half hour walk? Unless there’s a couple of moody ones around Broughton
