I think the nurses fell foul of their previous mandate running out part way through the last planned strike. I have no idea how long a mandate to strike lasts but the longer this goes on it’s possible the appetite for the fight may change as union members realise the government’s offer is acceptable to them if not to the unions. (The leaders of these unions aren’t losing wages for the strike periods!)
