The Managerial Roundabout

Shrewsbury potting Cotterill is an odd one,

Spurs possibly seeking a new manager around Christmas, not sure how he will do.

Gerrard to Leeds is rumoured.

Uri Geller to Wigan?

  • I couldn’t give a shit where he ends up

I know he’s not a manager but Standard Liege fans seem gutted we’ve got Fergal Harkin to the extent that some are saying he saved them from relegation despite having no budget. Sounds positive.

  • Are you serious? The guy brought us some fucking brilliant moments  that we’ll never forget. Yeah, it didn’t end up great but ffs.

In 25 years he's never managed more than 3 seasons in the same job

I'd love to see him return to Stretford & fck them over again.

Apparently 9th in the table, just lost to Lazio & he keeps being sent from the touchline, so he's not calmed down at all.

Rumours that Big Jim is a fan and Fergie used to be.

Reading rhat Jose has picked up £80m in his time for compensation/paid-up contracts.

Not even Sam's managed that much.

Jose has been a myth for close to a decade. Offers little but trouble.

He's been an utter bastard in his time with Roma, like a caricature of himself.

He managed to galvanise their support though, sold out the Olimpico time after time which wasn't even happening when they had the likes of Totti and Batistuta playing

He could rock up at Newcastle next, although I would be surprised if one of the Saudi clubs didn't try and chuck a load of money at him, especially as Gerrard could be getting sacked fairly soon

Apparently Troy Deeneys gone

Vegan roll man losing the plot. Be gone forever with his crappy club.

Does 20 goals bakayoko still have another year? He'd be going from Scottish prem to none league....

Not sure he'd make the step up tbh

6 games. Makes Duncan Ferguson's cameo look successful.

I'm pleased for the FGR players, I bet they hated playing for him, clearly an obnoxious, toxic presence.

He'd been given a 4 match touchline ban today for abusive/threatening behaviour a few weeks ago, presume that was the final straw for the owner, as if one was needed.

Still one of the modern greats though

Went 9 years (at 4 clubs) with out losing a home league game

Something like 150 games v 107 teams

Shame.

Thoroughly decent chap who’s been given no time at all.

Well apart from the 10 months that is.

Crappy little club FGR, radcliffe have a better set up

Anyone that doesn't refuse to serve meat has a better set up.

he's certainly slowed down in the honours stakes in the last 10 years bar Chelsea part 2

this list has him at 7th of all time in terms of trophies won

https://www.planetfootball.com/quick-reads/the-most-successful-managers-in-football-history-by-trophies-won-guardiola-ferguson

though I'd not put Valeriy Lobanovskyi, Jock Stein, or Mircea Lucescu above him myself

Poor little FGR players crying at being told the truth

Bellend Deeney will still think he's  a managerial genius. The Liz Truss of football🙂

No doubt he’s up there just think he couldn’t evolve when players couldn’t hack bollockings anymore. His tough love/reward management died. Happens to all even thinking back to Clough (circumstances different) but I imagine one day players reacted differently to his methods.

Deeney is an absolute fuckwit and deserves it.

Oh I dunno- Deeney was probably waving a sawn of shooter at them whilst ranting.

What emotions in those few seconds.

Stuff to blow your mind.

Super scenes too.

Made all the better by the player who takes a blatant dive for the pen, then misses it leading to the goal that knocks them out in the last minute
