I'm wondering if that was Neil Critchley?  Both ex Liverpool coaches, both worked with Gerrard at Villa then got the QPR manager's job on the back of it.  Strangely similar career paths, I think Critchley has proved himself more than Beale so far.

Only Critchley had the honour of playing for Leigh RMI though.

Quite like Critchley as a coach but never been hugely convinced as a manager. 

Mowbray is a solid set of hands for a few years. Think he's a little underrated.

Despite him just signing a 2 Yr extension in Sand Castle land I'm hoping they let heart overule head & get Stevie Me in. He'd set them back a decade.
