Casino Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 is it brum who have american owners and that yank rugger player on the board? Quote
Johnnyrotten Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 I don't think Eustace will struggle to get another job. Had longish playing spells at Stoke, Watford and Derby, then 4 years at QPR as assistant manager. Not hard to imagine all those 4 jobs coming up by Christmas if results don't improve and he's bound to be in the frame, along with Sheff Wed. Warnock can't take them all! Quote

Dr. Feelgood Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 So, "Wayne Rooney's Birmingham". Get used to that title. Quote

It was well known that at Derby it was Liam Resenior who was the brains behind the pair The latter is doing a good job at Hull where as the former can't cut it in the MSL Probably plenty of granny prostitutes in Brum though Quote

Sold their best player too. He went in and tried to play decent football with a limited squad and just didnt work. I think he will end up a decent manager tbh. Spent his whole career fighting fires so far. Quote

Burnley have the immensely more likeable ex NFL player JJ Watt in their ownership group too. He seems a lot more involved in things than Brady does at Brum. Quote

Dr. Feelgood Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 From BBC News. MK Dons have sacked head coach Graham Alexander after just 16 games in charge of the League Two club. The 52-year-old former Scotland international was appointed in May following last season's relegation. But the Dons have failed to win any of their last eight league games and are currently 16th Quote

Dr. Feelgood Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Full of themselves are MK. Big fancy ground with zero genuine history. A new town/city now of a decent size but largely of people who support others. One day it might all click but their support will always be brittle. No heritage. Quote

The only way they will survive is through other uses of the stadium and events in their arena. Winkelman was naive to think that it’ll take a generation and by now all the local youth would be supporting them as their local club. He didn’t seem to take into account that MK is a majority of London overspill so most youth either support the team of their family history, or a glory hunters supporting one of the big clubs. Crowds have hardly changed in the 20 years they’ve been in existence and the stadium is absolutely soulless. Reap what you sow. Edited October 17, 2023 by bolton in bedford Quote
