Its absolutely fucking shite at the minute round the ground.

It was particularly worse yesterday, obviously down to the train strike but that whole set up round the police station is a disaster.

Junction after Junction relying on driver letting eachother out. The stupid one way system that leads to the bottle neck near the station is ridiculous.

The whole system needs a overhaul.

The lights on Burnden Way gives priority to the club car park after the games. We park on the club car parks and most games we're home in bury for half 5 quarter to 6

It'll happen in stages as developers of the new estates get planning permission for their phase they'll have to find it I would imagine. 

Think on the masterplan that bit cheese points out is in as a busway only too

Just noticed there are a few app signs up on Tesco saying you can pay for more than 3hrs parking/90 mins for football parking. No idea of price.

At one time the "buzz's" got priority when leaving the carparks , now have to shove their way out.

All the extra time doesn't help.

Last season the barmaid in the Tap , had my beer ready at 17.34.

Now it's anytime up to 17.53

There's absolutely no advantage to going on the bus now.

I can't see there being a match bus next season. Priced out, timed out.

I agree. Only very rarely get it now when I'm heading back into Bolton or if there's a train strike, but whenever I get on what was the 11 (can't remember what number it changed to now) there's a little crew of elderly folk who sit at the back and they're such a nice, genuine bunch who've been going the match for donkeys, look out for eachother, driver even waits up for one who isnt great on her feet and then gets out of their cab to help her off.

Was talking to them last time and they're convinced the buses are being phased out but in a way that can be blamed on folk not using them enough. The prices, timings, routes are just not a service anymore. They cancel the buses and they'll have no other viable way of getting to games.

Just seems so counter intuitive if they end up scrapping the buses when it’s clear that so many people are reliant on it, especially when it feels like the train has been unreliable for a decade and not all areas are covered by a public service to Middlebrook. 

Tfgm should put on double deckers up to the middlebrook from Bolton on a weekend anyway

Would they not be better off organising a mini bus between them, surely would be cheaper for them

Chicken and egg situation though- when we first moved, there were two sets of buses, decent price and they were busy.

They'll be a decent drop off if they get rid of the buses 

It's generally a ballache to get to that ground if you don't drive 

I'm around 15 mins away in the car, if I was to ever need to get a bus or train it's an hour n half

At seven quid though, 3 or 4 chipping in for a taxi would surely make it worthwhile. Quicker too.

Obviously a combination of things over the last couple of decades. The Eddie Davies money dried up, attendances dropped off, cost of everything rocketed.

Probably getting back the hassle 

It is convenient the bus tbf, used it now n then when I've fancied a drink and it stops close to me

£7 return is ridiculous. When you compare it to the Manchester network prices

As I’ve posted on here previously, if the buses went cashless then the receipts would go through the roof and be far more representative of actually usage. I’ve used two different routes previously and both times it was rife not issuing tickets and pocketing the fiver. Made even easier once it went to one bus per route.

So you're saying the bus drivers are ripping the club off, and in turn destroying the only viable matchday transport route for a massive amount of fans? That's quite an allegation...
