Some players simply won’t play or even make the bench when everyone’s fit just at the point we want everyone singing from the same hymn sheet on the run in. Still you know best so everything will be hunky dory. 🙂

February 12, 20242 yr I know its a blow to lose Baxter but if this was last season it would be Dixon in goal for a few games, so I'm grateful we have a real keeper to call on, it could be a lot worse. Hopefully Coleman doesn't get injured again because then we are seriously short, but we'll worry about that if it happens and hopefully Baxter isn't out long. Going off seasons in the past that often teams who used less players were often the most successful.
February 12, 20242 yr Once everyone is fit, it will be an issue keeping everyone happy. Ogbete didn't look to chuffed sprinting up and down on Saturday on his own. Add Baxter, JDC, Santos, Forrester and Randall into the mix and 6 of them are missing out each game. Think people are reading too much into Bod on Saturday. If IE and him had really fallen out he wouldn't have been on the bench. As for Jerome ahead of him, IE wasn't even in the dugout. Could have been Atherton's call for all we know.
February 12, 20242 yr No professional footballer is overly happy being on the bench, but that's been the case forever. Anyone suggesting it's going to derail our season has gone fucking mad, and was probably complaining about our lack of squad depth a month ago.

It would be a concern if we had a much smaller squad where everyone would be included, but still had several injuries! The loanees will go back later (probably) and with any luck, the rest will be looking at a wage rise and a higher level next season, with any luck. On that basis, they should be happy as fuckin Larry. If not, they can do one.
February 12, 20242 yr It will be the case that we currently have more players signed than we'd ordinarily like, but given the injury crisis we have, there wasn't really an alternative I think we'll be fine

From what I read he said he was happy to play on through the pain He's been prone to injuries in the past so maybe said it in the hope to put that behind him
