When Rioch came to Bolton in 1992 we won three of our first give games then drew 1 and lost 5 of the next six. A very similar thing happened when Big Sam arrived in 1999. It is very early days and SS

For those slagging off SS, you are barking up the wrong tree. We can only even get in to the foothills of judging the guy after he has had a transfer window. He has been dealt a talented but very one-

Sounds like they might have a new manager on Monday

I personally think that them not having a manager is definitely an advantage.

Barnsley last year, especially under Duff, prided themselves on their organisation. We had simply no answer to it over both legs.

This time around their players will be tactically less astute.

If we can't beat these, then we don't deserve the championship.

Let's get to Wembley, we can do it.

From my Barnsley mate:

You’ll get your revenge this year. We’re awful at the minute. Ever since we conceded that injury time equaliser to your lot we’ve been very poor. Enjoy your day out at Wembley 😂👍

They’ve appealed a work permit application for a highly rated Austrian coach/manager

As an added bonus, it gives Toal two opportunities to end Cosgraves career.

That'd be fun.

Knew it would come in handy😀

Long shot but also after a spare client ref if anyone isn’t using (or trying to use) theirs.

Cheers in advance x

A pitch invasion today at Barnsley

Seems a bit much

People saying we should agree 4 or 5 k tickets each are crazy. Given them the lowest number possible it is a massive advantage to have extra fans for the home game when second leg is at home, they can have 3 blocks in upper tier. We can our fans on all 4 sides.

This lot are in terrible form we need to go there and give them fuck all then get them back home and batter them. Need a strong ref that stops them kicking Sheehan off the pitch.

Worse thing we can do is have the first 50 minutes of the league at their place and be 2 down.

Cancelled our hotel when all the Saturday only chat happened. Rebooked and tbf £65 is fuck all really

Fortune favours the brave on tickets. Well done to those on away season tickets. Missed 4 away games all season but it’s just pot luck

2 tickets wanted, ideally 5

Yeh fucking stupid that the authorities/police/financiers can’t cope with a Saturday game.

Fans an after thought again.

Hopefully it might mean one or two day trippers are put off and those who have put the hard miles in can get tickets

Not being able to have 2 games going on in the same county is a joke. Sheffield and Barnsley are about 20 miles away, would be like us being moved by GMP because Stockport are playing

Especially when you consider that pretty much every Saturday home game for Barnsley will see a Sheffield team playing at home too

Worked out pretty well for me, whatever the stupid reasons. FiL’s 70th on the Saturday starting at 2pm - I’d already warned that at the very least I’d have to watch it on tv so would be joining late, it wasn’t going down well!

Need to find every little advantage, second leg goes to penalties last thing we need is 5k away fans behind the goal the penalties are taken.

Surely you could argue that us having 4-5k behind the goal gives us more of a chance of putting the tie to bed before they come back to us. Plus with their current apathy and the fact the game at theirs is a Friday night and at ours is a Tuesday night, you’d think that there’s more chance of us taking advantage of more tickets than them.

In short, give us the full away end you Yorkshire wankers.

I don’t think they’d sell more than 3k

We’d probably sell 5k.

Careful and sensible negotiations could bring about both scenarios.

Last years situation of folk missing out when there were thousands of empty seats was shocking.
