We’d probably sell 5k.

Careful and sensible negotiations could bring about both scenarios.

Last years situation of folk missing out when there were thousands of empty tickets was shocking.

Completely agree

People saying we should agree 4 or 5 k tickets each are crazy. Given them the lowest number possible it is a massive advantage to have extra fans for the home game when second leg is at home, they can have 3 blocks in upper tier. We can our fans on all 4 sides.

This lot are in terrible form we need to go there and give them fuck all then get them back home and batter them. Need a strong ref that stops them kicking Sheehan off the pitch.

Worse thing we can do is have the first 50 minutes of the league at their place and be 2 down.

Agree with this re their form.

Be nice if IE doesn't overthink things too much.

Hope we go there with the intention of getting the tie won at the first hurdle.

We're the better team this year, let's get on the front foot.

I get where @desperado is coming from about ticket allocations but i hope we fill the place for the 2nd leg with hardly any of them in.

We want it to be an absolute bear pit.

You just know first leg will be a bear pit… gonna have to stand up be counted… first name on team sheet is Dempsey.

As much as I’d love us too, I don’t think we’re selling out our home tie with a 27.5k full house on a Tuesday night.

And I can’t see Barnsley selling more than 3k.

An 18/19 big crowd at Barnsley with 5k whites and a 24/25k home tie with 3k Barnsley and us on 4 sides, seems sensible, gives us an edge and lets everyone who wants to see the game attend.

GT on the bench?

Yep.

That's why I want us to get on top from the off.

Might take the crowd out of it.

Oh I know we aren't selling it out.

I liked how we didn't give pompey extra tickets and started selling in the South stand.

Atmosphere was superb.

I do appreciate this is different as we'll need to reciprocate but hope your scenario plays out.

5k of us over there and a minimal amount of them here.

Want us to have every advantage possible.

He played poorly yesterday, but I’d still start him ahead of Dempsey.

In the 2-2 draw earlier in the season Dempsey played ok, but Maghoma improved the team when he came on. If he’d had his finishing boots on he could have had a hat trick.

We’ve seen over the last few weeks that Sheehan, Thomason and Maghoma Is our strongest midfield three and I would stick with that (illness permitting).

Maghoma… hold him back for the home leg.

Thought you might say that 😏.

Fundamentally disagree with ‘holding back’ our best player of the past month or two but each to their own.

Dempsey had a better game yesterday but generally he’s been poor since his injury, FWIW I reckon as long as Maghoma is fit then he’s playing both games, I don’t reckon Evatt would even see it as a decision to be made.

Theirs absolutely no chance of you getting the 5’800 that stand holds, last time you came in the playoffs, their was a scuffle outside a boozer and two got arrested. So due to that SYP will be estimating they need around 500/600 plod from 10 o’clock in the morning for an away crowd that size.

at £20 a ticket it’s just not cost effective, so we’ll give you an allocation as small as possible to keep cost down and make the game a profitable one.

We aren’t good enough to hold people back. Dempsey played well yesterday but he drops out Friday for me.

Complacency would be our biggest enemy.

Hoping that last years defeat will still be fresh enough to keep them in the right frame of mind.

We’re a better football team, just need to be mentally on it.

IE has said we will go there and try to win.

It's the way we go about things and isn't in his nature to be particularly novel in approach.

As it happens, it wouldn't concern me if we had both Dempsey and GT starting, as I'm sure they will come at us early doors, and having more bite in the middle wouldn't harm us.

If Maghoma is available though, I reckon he will start.

Cheers for the update. Was a pain last year.

If its gonna be like that I hope we stiff your lot and replicate. It’s a bit pathetic really but hey Ho

I think the influence GMP have over football here is only topped by SYP. Difference being GMP seem to be able to control big followings here (to a degree)

the incident you refer to last year was all on the shoulders of SYP. We’d been there since about 3? And they just sat back and watched more and more of your lot arriving at the same boozer and what happened was inevitable then they then came in to act and decided the best course of action was to escort all of our lot to the ground with continuous ticket checks during the escort. Anyone would think it was a Belgrade derby or something.

the thing that pisses the majority off is their mismanagement is then used as validation for cutting allocations in future. Modern football in a nutshell.

reciprocal ticket arrangements are absolutely fine but there needs to be a middle ground between the 2k from last year and giving the full ends at each ground. We’d sell what we’re given and if you lot don’t that’s not really on us. However Fridays outcome would probably dictate what you bring on tues

So it'll be either 10am tomorrow or Tuesday then for tickets

Announcement 9.59am Monday, on sale at 10 😶

Surely you could argue that us having 4-5k behind the goal gives us more of a chance of putting the tie to bed before they come back to us. Plus with their current apathy and the fact the game at theirs is a Friday night and at ours is a Tuesday night, you’d think that there’s more chance of us taking advantage of more tickets than them.

In short, give us the full away end you Yorkshire wankers.

The absolute most I would give them is the upper tier. Leave the lower tier to be all Bolton. At £20 per ticket we will easily sell enough to fill all the lower tiers. Keep them as far away from pitch as possible.

No way we get the full end at theirs (although we did not sell out there in the league which was bizarre given numbers we have taken most places this year) .

Sold out at 958

Lancaster Whites, London Whites and pubs round Bolton need their allocation confirming first.

3.5K each would be fair

Bound to be 2k on the advice of Yorkshire police.

More chance of winning the lottery than getting a ticket for this
