Peterborough v Oxford 2nd leg

Featured Replies

Fancy Peterborough to overturn the first leg defeat and to be quite comfortable in doing so too.

Guessing most people would rather play Oxford?

Someone posted it on another thread that Peterborough can be 4/10 and you dick them or 10/10 and they can live with anybody. A fair summation, really, and explains why people would rather play Oxford.

  • Prefer Oxford purely because the Leeds London train is via Peterboro.

Aye would prefer Oxford. Posh already won at Wembley this season and believe the bigger pitch suits their football, as it does ours tbf.

Same. Would prefer Oxford but not really concerned at meeting Peterborough in the same way I would have been someone like Derby or Pompey.

Think Peterborough will win comfortably. Would prefer Oxford, though.

The bookies don’t think that.

Oxford favs to go through.

FWIW I agree with you.

Peterborough have more weapons to hurt us than Oxford but Oxford do seem to have developed a stronger stomach and have stopped leaking goals recently.

Both will be tough games, but I'd rather play Oxford if given the choice.

Best case scenario, Oxford win and Cameron Brannagan picks up a knock ruling him out of the final. He didn't do much at ours in the 5-0, but he is a good 'un

Much prefer Oxford because they aren't as good as Peterborough generally

Ferguson has got them promoted 3 times out of this league, so been there and done that

Would rather not come up against them in a one off

I’m not trawling through to find out but what was the level of apprehension in the build-up to our PJT final v Plymouth?

I think they were arguably the better team on paper until the day itself.

We're equally capable of fucking it up vs either team.

Ever the optimist me.

Yep, fun & games on the way back if it's Peterborough!

We can beat either team on our day. would prefer Oxford but not much in it

Prefer Oxford but think they will get hammered tonight

Peterborough arent all that

Defensively theyre more likely to fuck up than us!

But they pack a punch

I think oxford are a more predictable 6 out of 10, whereas PB could be anything from 4 to 10

Id prefer the 6 as I think most times we can beat that

Hopefully they’ll have set off home just before half time as our fourth goal goes in.

Oxford recently thrapped them 5-0 at home.

Having also won the first leg, I reckon they'll be quietly confident.

Depends which Peterborough turns up I suppose, but I just have a suspicion that Oxford will nick it.

3-0 to Posh tonight.

can't see past posh

loads of experience in these playoffs

hopefully oxford can pull it off

Couple of sendings off for key players and a few injuries putting people out. A draw, extra time & penalties. More tension tjan a coiled spring.

Aye I am hoping for 22 man brawl in the 120th minute leading to 3 match bans for 6 players on each side and the game having to be replayed in the Ukraine on the 16th May.

Unlikely I know but worth £1 bet.

I can see extra time and a proper close do.

Given I live in Oxfordshire I'd prefer Posh in the final for a quiet life. In terms of the quality of the sides I'd say even-steven given Oxford's recent form.

Not bothered who we get.

Oxford fans reckon the refs a homer and the comms are obviously Posh iFollow so they're feeling a bit hard done by.

Reckon Oxford have a chance - with Posh being so narrow if they can get it wide to Murphy and Dale they could get chances. Obviously they have to stay solid at the back which they've done so far apart from the one Cumming pushed over/
