Backlash incoming

I was just thinking that.

I guess the fact they are playing and we aren't is a bonus. Usually that's the type of thing that works against us in derby games.

I hadn't heard of Wycombe's Richard Kone who's got 2 tonight (10 this season) so I had a read of Wiki.

He's from Ivory Coast and became homeless after coming out as gay to his family.  Came to the UK to play in the Homeless World Cup in 2019 and scored bags of goals in the Essex Senior League for a few years.  Had trials at league clubs but his visa status stopped him getting a pro contract.

Eventually got a contract at Wycombe in January and scored their fastest ever hat-trick v Peterboro.

Now has a girlfriend and a baby and has made up with his Mum!  Still only 21.

Anyway - Wycombe starting to look like the real deal.

Wycombe well worth  their lead .Morley & Taylor playing well.Kone should already be on a hat-trick .He’s a very good outlet target much better than Vic imo.

Stockport will no doubt save their best for Saturday though .

That Whooten is a dirty shirt pulling donkey , over to you Rico.

I mean, that summary does make it sound like he's gamed the system...

But anyway, he looks a right handful. Saw his hat trick the other week on the highlights show and first 2 were power and 3rd was a pen, which I was surprised Morley wasn't taking, but shows he's confident.

If there's one thing we should absolutely be doing as soon as possible, it's either selling Morley or recalling him. Having one of our players helping a rival would be madness

I thought both clubs had to agree to terminate a loan early, can't see Wycombe agreeing unless he gets an injury.

But IE isn't likely to bring a player back with no realistic chance of starting games, it would make him look a bit desperate and assuming no sales in Jan it would use up the last squad place without really strengthening us.

At least Morley can't play against us, that's 2 games he's missing!
