start the same as Saturday or just put Dion up top

problem with this is its two completely different players

dion and victor are not interchangeable and for me its about what we get from the 3 of em, not just charles or victor

it worked well saturday, so if fitness isn't an issue, i wouldn't change it

no reason not to try and get maximum minutes out of Charles tonight.

im bored and not really arsed who he picks

but, why do we try to get maximum minutes out of charles

unless you think thats better for the team

i suppose thats the discussion

id take a point :)

Depends how it comes.

I wouldn’t be impressed if it was a repeat of last year, or a Birmingham style approach.

But if it was a late equaliser after playing well I may be ok with that.

Just thinking we don’t need to hold him back from anything as so often seems to be the case so no need to keep him on the bench nor drag him off after an hour.

Vic and Charles is the mythical best pairing in my mind but Collins and McAtee both played well on Saturday. Nice problem to have considering all four of our strikers are shite 😊

Stevenage station is a positive metropolis 😊

See it now - we score after 3 minutes and all supporters leave the ground expecting us to win

Agreed, an unlucky 1st half deficit that's recovered becomes a decent point and evidence that you can recover from a goal down away from home.  If we're 2 up (eg Wycombe last year) then retreat and it finishes 2-2, its a crap result.

0-0 would be very frustrating and would mean 1 goal in 3 games.   Every team in the top half would be chuffed if we only get a point from our game in hand, just on that basis we need to be winning, and to compensate for 2 points lost v Shrewsbury (who everyone else are beating).

Or at least expecting a 5xg or even a 5xg plus.

Good stat.  Only Notts County of those are in the top 6 and only 3 in top half.  Presume most have failed to win the games in which they've conceded first.

First goal is huge in all our games but even more so tonight.  Both teams to not score is evens (Ladbrokes).  Given Stevenage's results are usually 1-0 or 2-0 either way, the odds seem generous.

If I thought that Evatt knew his strongest team, I'd suggest he plays it tonight and then rotate on Saturday.

Sadly, I fear we'll see the return of the bingo machine and Old Man Arfield.

Well he should stick with the team that did so well on Saturday. Ok we didn’t take our chances but on another day we would and for me we looked back to that sharp one pass movement that kills teams at this level. Players seem to be gelling now so unless there’s a need to I’d stick with the same starting eleven.

Surely if we have ambitions of playing in the Championship, we got to be looking at a win, not a point! Its Stevenage FFS!

Fully expecting changes for changes’ sake. But you’d think we’d be resting one or two on Saturday so no reason not to try and get maximum minutes out of Charles tonight.

I'm not sure we've got that many options to change. We only shaped up as we did, as we didn't have a 3rd midfielder fit enough to start.

I'm expecting Lolos to start tonight though, in ahead of McAtee, or Collins and reverting back to a 3-4-1-2

theyve beaten barnsley, wrexham, mansfield and charlton

theyve lost a few they should probably have won, too, but theyre no mugs

There's nothing wrong with us expecting a win tonight. They players should be expecting a win, as long as they play well. Turn up, be tough, be aggressive and play to our potential and we should win the game.

Them going above us with a win should be motivation enough

All the more important that we start quickly, put them on the back door and score early, rather than have one of our walking football starts that gives up the initiative.

The three that started up front on Sat worked well together, should start again, if Charles has to have another turn at impact sub so be it
