Quoting myself here But after some digging, if you combine the amount of shots on target we had in our games against Rotherham, Wigan, Birmingham, Huddersfield, Stockport and also Oxford at Wembl

I said a month or two back McAtee was a fraud. Does a load of arm waving and pointing, as though he's from a higher level and the others need the benefit of his advice, while doing absolutely fuck all

He says he asks the players to come out and show our DNA and what we are about and that's what we did... What playing like shite, having 1 shot on target against an incredibly poor side that had

There is actually IMO a really strong message here about how social media can give you such an unbalanced view of what most people think.

The doom and gloom merchants really are a minority.

I completed Wrexham in 1968

😁

Are we getting this thread changed or starting a new one for Wrexham or 2025 EFL Trophy??

It’s a fantastic effort and really demonstrates a positive hardcore support.

Not just in general, but for a shifting opinion in taking this game and competition seriously in the next few months.

We’ve gone from wanting out of it, not giving a shit and it being a major distraction to let’s give this a good go.

Yes there’ll be folk who still don’t give a shit, but great to see that’s not everybody.

Am I right in thinking a 3rd victory in this would put us equal top with Bristol City? 😂

COYWM 👏👏

Red hot, so I'm told.

How many of the 1200 tickets have been bought by retards in error thinking it's the league game?

Plus how many have gone to away season ticket holders who have no intention of going but cant be bothered to return a £10 ticket as it will count as one of the five

They will easily shift em on so no need to return

It’s on Sky / dodgy for those of us who didn’t get a ticket.

Thomason can play in this, his suspension doesn’t count, so I suspect he’ll start.

As for the rest and the formation I think it could be anything!

Would like to see some more work on the 4 at the back, possibly with some protection from Matete who’s probably due a start.

He might give Baxter a run out?

                         Baxter

  Cogley.  Forrester. Johnston. Murphy

    Jones.   Matete.  Tommo   Tutu

                          Lolos

                            Vic

Tutu looked like he had a collapsed lung by the end of the game yesterday - he must have had 3 electrolyte gels after the 60th minute! I’d be very very surprised to see him play again on Tuesday (and hope he doesn’t), give Schon a go on his correct side.

I like the idea of the midfield 3, get Matete up to speed, use GT whilst suspended in the league and get Lolos some minutes. I’d be tempted to stick Lolos wide, instead of Jones, and keep Randall in there.

Sets up a midfield 3 of Matete, Morley and a rested Sheehan further forward for Shrewsbury.

Why put Lolos out wide?

Play him in his position, or play someone else for me.

Would you see Cogley more of a defender than Jones?  And vice versa for winger?

Assuming still no Collins?

Based on yesterday, Toal looks like he needs some match sharpness. At the same time, Forrester probably could do with a midweek off. So, Toal in, Forrester to the bench for me.

Fair point. We just don’t have many options for proper wingers so in order to give Tutu a rest and the fact it’s the Mickey Mouse cup I don’t think it’d be a huge issue.

Those changes would make sense especially the Schon for Tutu one

Randall can’t play he’s cup tied, as is Morley

Up until yesterday, seeing Jones as right forward ,I’d have put it the other way round 😂.

Not sure which way SS will see it now. Maybe Jones replaces Cogley and we see a different midfield set-up.

He may even revert to 3 CBs/2 WBs seeing as it reaped benefits in the 2nd half

Im assuming Collins misses again to let the injury settle. But if he’s clear SS may give him a run out.

I take it we’d all prefer the league win rather than this one if there was only a choice of one victory?

I’ve been swaying I’ll be honest as I think this is probably our best chance of salvaging some success this season. But with us so close to the Play-offs I can’t bring myself to think Tuesday is bigger.
