Poor but good runs often start by grinding out results

Probably lucky masis lovechild didnt play for them

Tutu got a good run

GT better than saturday

Matete a good 7/10

Now, what the fuck

That short corner of theirs

If a man is going to go short for them and we are going to commit a man to it, surely he stands to prevent the first pass

If not, immediately its 2 on 1

Anyway, got lucky but we have had our share of bad luck

Almost forgot, mcatee has to be hitting target after that lovely move from cb to penalty spot

If you're referring to Erhahon, the chap sent off at ours, he did play.

be kind:

Juke

Heskey

Madine

Jerome

Bod?

All could hold up and link, but nobody tonight is fit for that purpose- i'd even throw Procter in the mix- but we simply havent recruited to play this way; Dan and Vic dont cut the mustard

Good list that.  Juke the best of the lot.

I'll add 3 more at the back end of their careers that were quality leaders of the line - Daryl Murphy (underrated IMO), Shola Ameobi, Wilbraham.

I quite liked Craig Davies too, proper put himself about.

And making allowances for our situation at the time under Hill, Chris O'Grady knew how to use his strength and could hold a ball up and play intelligently, he would improve our forward line if he was playing now.

Its a relatively basic skill I've taken for granted for most of the last 45+ years and IE has systematically removed it from our make up.

O’Grady was shite. Probably on a par with Donaldson.

And except for that Forest moment and Wednesday away, Wilbraham wasn’t much better.

Pretty grim match but not as grim as Rotherham. We still look ropey at the back although I thought Southwood was excellent even though the lot of them over elaborated. Can’t make my mind up about Lolos he seems to see the pass but somehow it doesn’t reach its destination his laconic style doesn’t help but he is quite skilful. Matette had a generally decent game but still managed to get mugged twice in possession in dangerous areas.

Good to see Tutu & Gomez get some game time.

We are still not marking the edge of our box from corners , noticed on one occasion they had two free players on the edge of our area.

I assume Charles has gone & therefore hope & pray we can get someone in who is capable of holding the ball up for longer than a millisecond. Victor can’t even manage that but at least Collins had a bit of space to work in given they had to at least mark Victor. Having said that nothing improved when McAtee came on .

Evatt said that was more like our dna ! Jesus, I thought we were really poor and only for them wasting chances have we scraped a win.

now Charles is going, 20 goals plus for the last 2 seasons.

see the quarters is regionalised, so us, Bradford, Rotherham and Wrexham/ vale

I was just referring to their ability to hold a ball up/hold off a defender/win headers.  I never said any of them were good players overall - Madine's on the list for god's sake!

I was expecting O'Grady to be shite but I remember being pleasantly surprised at how strong he was and he played with intelligence, not coughing up easy possession like we routinely see now.  Just how I saw it, nobody has to agree.  Played about 150 championship games, no outfield player we have now is going to do that.

Do they still jab "victims" in the tummy for that?

Supposedly very painful.

Only for samples to test . Once symptoms show the death rate is 100% .

25 mins of decent football with the odd flash in the second half .Our Keeper had one shot to save , they couldnt hit a fat lass with a massive double bass .

These are the games that win cups ....WEMBEERRRLEEE !

unsure what's happened to Victor, watching him "sprint" for a ball was just .. shocking

Scored 16 goals then 10 goals in last 2 seasons, looked like a pub player who had stumbled into the team.
