Only the most wealthy fans in the world will be at this world cup supporting their team. Doesnt scream fun to me.  If England get to the final, i'd genuinely rather be in england than at the game

  • If it wasn't for my lads I wouldn't want us anywhere near the premier league.

Glad Spain was announced for 2030 early. Me, the lad and 5 of the 6 grandsons were planning for 2026. Binned it when Spain was announced. Thank fuck!

If match ticket prices are off the scale, no matter. Fan zones in Spain are ace from past experience and accommodation not an issue for us.

He is currently one year old. I'll ignore him when he's older ;)

I've long since ditched plans to go over for this, but seen as a lot of it was based around wanting cat 4 tickets where possible it looks like wouldn't have had much chance anyway.

Total contrast to how and where cat 4 tickets are done in UEFA tournaments

F*ckin he’ll. Not for me.

Been going to Reebok since it was built, never been in the top tier, even on 3 stadium tours.

Me neither.

Top tier at the Reebok is fine, but not that monstrosity!

Top tier in the north stand at Old Trafford is vertigo inducingly steep and high.

Imagine having to go fag then ball after you clear the stand.

My suspicions were justified. Pink.

I couldn’t quite picture it from the still. The video gives a good idea.

It’s fucking bonkers! 😂

And pointless!

As a player, if the need to make a clearance near the touch line arose, would you be tempted to try and hoof it over the roof? 😁

Worse than that it was Simply Red.

imagine lifts being fucked, makes newcastle away seen ok now

Hope it gets used after the tournament for something. Probably the Saudi internationals and Asian and Gulf Cup tournaments. Lucky to have worked on the broadcast of all six World Cups from 1998-2018. Three weeks after I departed one of the venues that I was based at in South Africa in 2014, all the wiring, cabling and expensive infrastructure in the stadium was ripped out and recycled before the stadium was closed down. The city just didn't have the population or a large enough team for such a big venue.

Long ball big boot football then .... As Brian Clough once said ....

"If God had wanted us to play football in the clouds, he'd have put grass up there." This iconic line was a criticism of long-ball tactics and a defence of his preference for playing football on the ground.

Cloughie was ahead of his time

Woke nonsense. The game's gone.

Next world cup will be in Atlantis, with the world's first under sea stadium to be constructed, with free snorkeling gear for spectators

Clough was a genius , he took journeymen footballers and made them into league champions and subsequently European cup winners twice . John McGovern lifted the European cup, Larry Lloyd , kenny burns , Gary birtles ( was playing non League before Clough found him ) , John Robertson , Frank Clarke , Viv Anderson . He sprinkled some goldust on the team with stellar signings shilton and Francis , but most of his team were unheard of outside Nottingham .

He was out of work when Jimmy armfield went to Leeds , many Wanderers fans wanted us to get Clough as manager , instead we promoted from within Ian Greaves

Anyway I have a lot of respect for Clough , shame the way things ended though

Forest the only club to have won more European Cups/CL than domestic league titles.
