Only the most wealthy fans in the world will be at this world cup supporting their team. Doesnt scream fun to me.  If England get to the final, i'd genuinely rather be in england than at the game

  • If it wasn't for my lads I wouldn't want us anywhere near the premier league.

All of the WW 150k club will be there.

A vloggers and influencers paradise this one. As you say, think experiencing it back here might be much more preferable.

Still one of my life's dreams to go to a World Cup final, but think I'll be waiting a while!

Aye, I'm sure that Thogden bloke will be all over it. Fair play to him I suppose, but the content will be full on cringe

Could all be dull as hell unless African teams spring some surprises.

Fancy Morocco to catch Brazil off guard

Brazil totally average this year. Look at their squad and it's not exactly elite with various Wolves players in it, etc. Vinicius Jr a long way from their greats.

I'd have them as also-rans. Will die on this hill.

Well, having been educated by those itk I've slapped the house on Norway winning it.

History tells me that Brazil and Argentina will be hard nuts to crack in the Americas.

I'm already on Argentina (since last year) to win it with savers on Brazil and a couple of European giants.

I doubt Argentina go back-to-back, Brazil's only benefit is probably the weather.

Hard to look past Spain or France at the moment although they're probably meeting in the SF. Portugal are up there if they drop CR7 and Martinez. England have a good chance of getting to the final, so it's anyone's guess.

Senegal at 100/1 a good outside bet, I think they're genuinely elite.

Hadn't actually looked at the odds for the winners till now

Surprised Spain are favourites

Surely the USA are the greatest football team in the world.

By far.

Plus, the Don will just threaten to bomb or invade whichever nations they come up against.

Norway, apparently.

Aye.

Like I said though; the Don will threaten to invade if the "USA" were to come up against them.

He'll build a big beautiful pipeline across the North Sea, and Arctic to grab their gas.

Think if England and France win their groups we play them in the QF. In Miami, open air stadium in July with a 5pm local time kick off.

So yeah youre right. France in the semis.

When they are eliminated he'll be something along the lines of "Soccerball is a woke sport for radical left democrats and libtards and illegals from Mexico. We didnt want to win."

Would we not have to get though the round after the groups before that happens?

Just asking cos without checking I've not a clue how it all works out.

Two rounds! Rounds of 32 and 16.

Us and France are 2 of the 4 seeded teams. So can't meet until the semis or final. But that's only if they win their groups....

I've had a few beers so may be wrong...

You may well be correct pal 👍

According to Sky...

Assuming a first-place group finish, the potential route involves a round-of-32 match in Atlanta (July 1), a round-of-16 clash in Mexico City (July 6), a quarter-final against Brazil in Miami (July 11), and a semi-final against Argentina in Atlanta (July 15), leading to a July 19 final in New Jersey

You've seen my bets haven't you?

My advice to punters would be not to overlook history.

Venue to winners in the Americas:-

Uruguay - Uruguay

Brazil - Uruguay

Chile - Brazil

Mexico - Brazil

Argentina - Argentina

Mexico - Argentina

USA - Brazil

Brazil - Germany (1-0 aet v Argentina). The single anomaly.

Of course one of the European giants are capable. That's why I have had a couple of saver bets on them.

Just don't ignore history.

This sadly has the feel of the if we get to a quarters then it’s a job well done

If Sir Gareth was still in charge, I’d fancy us to reach the semis or the final.

I really like Tuchel. Liked Southgate as well as he’s likely took us as close as we will ever get but the first euros final was defo a defeat clutched from victory

Players at the World Cup are liable for a red card if they cover their mouths when speaking to opponents during confrontations. It follows accusations that unacceptable things may be being hidden.

The decision was taken during a special meeting of the Fifa Council in Vancouver.

There will be a half-time show in the final (a la the Superbowl). Chris Martin will coordinate this. It may well small like Gwynedd Paltrow's fanny.
