I had a quick Google and found it's on something called DAZN and 5.

Channel 5 have 23 games for broadcasting.

I wasn't going to watch as it's a sham, but I think I might watch some of the Boca Juniors and River Plate games as I've never really seen them play.

I'm guessing non-football folk everywhere will be relishing the break from wall to wall matches on TV....so I had to laugh when I saw the TV listings for Sunday evening.  ITV Soccer Aid, C4 England U21s, C5 Harry Kane's Bayern Munich v Auckland.  All on at same time😀

Last day of US Open golf for me, no football in June unless its World Cup or Euros comp or qualifiers.

Or it illustrates how far ahead of every other league the English Premier League is? English teams, including Chelsea, won two of the three European club competition. The so-called powerhouse, PS

As per the YouTube thread I’ll stick to watching The Big Match Revisited. Far more interesting

Personally I would just like to see Infantile embarrassed by half empty stadia.

That would do nicely.

I quite enjoyed those Nations League semis / final and the Wales game was a cracker, took us up to mid June nicely, reckon I can tick through six weeks till we go again with some cricket, athletics and tennis

This whole tournament is just glorified friendlies, I'll be giving it a miss

Being played by clubs who piss and moan about having too many fixtures

The panini sticker collection has a gold Gianni Infantino in it. Fucking weapon.

Playing devil's advocate but its normally the managers that complain about fixture congestion (playing Thursday/Sunday then Wed/Sat etc).  They are just employees and can't influence if the club decides to enter a post-season then a pre-season tournament.  You don't hear the owners and chairmen complaining.  Managers are paid to say these unnecessary tournaments are a good thing.  Amorim even having to talk up the post season tour of Asia when all he and the players would have wanted was to go away and hide/rest for a few weeks.

I get that but it rings rather hollow when they start bitching at the FA for having to have a replay against Barnet on a Tuesday night after their 2nd string couldn't get the job done.

I think we can be reasonably confident the owners and chairmen feel the same way about cup replays

If he's not another bent fucker like his predecessors I will be genuinely shocked.

I don't trust any of them.

It's a load of bollocks but I'll watch bits of it. I think some of the games might be entertaining. The South American clubs will take it seriously.

I thought there would be little football this summer but with this , Euro 21s and women's Euros there actually is a fair bit.

Said it was shite and wasn't going to watch it a week ago but I've done a Starmer-turn on it . Christ, I need some new hobbies.

I just put it on a for a bit, switched off at 1-0 and just came back to it now to see it's 4-0

They've only been playing twenty minutes

Lots of allegations from political influence,  bribes etc...but like with them all, nothing ever sticks and their ability to ruin world football is never checked

Joke of a score line that & a joke of a tournament.

10 fucking 0!

Just had a look- dear me.

Anyway, didn't know what games were/are on, have zero interest, so fuck 'em.

To be fair - and I didn't realise this until after the match had started - Auckland City are semi-pro and couldn't put a full-strength team together because some of their players couldn't get time off work

It's a piss poor concept & simply adds games, & cash, wherer it's least needed.

Cue the screams about tired players, over-full schedules and the need for smaller domestic leagues.

... & the day Auckland fc is deservingly in the Global elite I'll eat my hat.

Gwaaaannn the Auckland! 😆😆

A semi pro outfit in what is supposed to be a sporting pinnacle?

Just illustrates what a load of shite it is- if it needed any more evidence.

Nailed it.

I hope it's a massive failure

FIFA have just chucked this together to make a few quid because they have 1 tournament every 4 years where's as uefa have them every year

Fuck em

Trying to be open minded on this but it’s been a naff start

Athy Colls are in it next year.

You jest but Auckland are ranked outside the top 5000 teams in the world, to give that context Macclesfield are ranked about 2900th.

That is how poor the standard really is.
