You would have to ask trans Pennine express why it’s a pick up service at bolto take its to keep the numbers down on the Edinburgh service

they can’t physically stop you getting off the train at Bolton but you wouldn’t be able to buy a ticket to Bolton first stop to get off is preston

it’s a bit mad so if your at Manchester airport they want you to wait for the service that drops and picks up at Bolton not the Edinburgh train that’s stopping at Bolton

Yeah it’s basically because it was getting rammed with commuters and folk with seats booked for that train weren’t able to get on
