Just get a striker that knows what they're doing in this league. Pretty please.

  • Let's just get in the to fucking cunts. No more getting bullied and rolled like a bunch of gaylord fannies.

  • CMG is best in the B team

We have about half a dozen number 10s yet basically we dont have any....Duberry is great going forward but if he is to play away against a top 6 team we need a midfield three because he leaves Cogley exposed.

Just one of those days, we will play a lot worse and win.

Wooten is everything we are missing from getting out of this league.

Would not bother me if i do not see Gomes or Mcatee in a Bolton shirt again

I dont remember cogley being left exposed once. The goal in the first half there was three defenders around the ball, including cogley, and they didn't stop the cross.

I honestly don't think anyone had a bad game. We played well. We had enough of the ball and created enough chances. They created barely anything other than from a few crosses. We just didn't defend a couple of balls in the box well enough.

If we create that many chances every week we gonna be winning games.

Erhahon looked decent when he came on too. Much bigger than I expected. People need to stop over analysing one game.

Conway looked good. Ref was useless as expected. McAtee missed a sitter.

The first goal must have been a gut punch going in at half time when the best team.

The obvious problem clear to everyone is no proven goalscorer/centre forward. Somebody that can put the ball into the net around the 6yd line. Same problem as last season and the owners need to find that extra 250k for the Celtic lad, otherwise this will be a repetitive story.

We have signed a guy that scored 15 in the Scottish prem last season . People seem to be forgetting that.

Mcatee is our best player. The lads fucked from carrying the other 9 stiffs.

Are you being ironic or are you completely pissed out of your brains . It has to be one or the other.

I'd rather be Bolton with 0 points than Stockport with 3 if I'm thinking about the rest of the season and making my judgement over 90 minutes.

Pre season without a recognised first choice striker has cost us today, but I saw loads of positives.

Conway looks a player - as do these new wingers.

Criticism would be McAtee (although he did work hard) and that Sheehan and Sheehan Mark 2 did nothing to affect the game when they came on.

And I love moaning about Sheehan that much that I'm calling Randall Sheehan as well now 👍

Clearly the first goal was a huge one in the context of the game.

But if we go in 1 up at H-T, that's not a game we can say we've won at that stage.  They would have bombarded us with crosses and set pieces, its doing them a disservice to assume they'd have a very rare home game where they don't score, against a team that very rarely keeps a clean sheet (but a draw would have still been a great improvement).

Them scoring first meant they had us exactly where they wanted us with their ability to see games out, we don't have that mean streak yet, still too many IEs squad knocking around till we evolve enough.

Of course not, I was more thinking along the lines of this is the type of game where we rarely take the lead despite having our chances.

Just a bit frustrating, that's all.

Long season, we may win the next 45 😀

Thought we played quite well especially in the first half.

Some decent chances for us. Simons and Conway hitting the woodwork. Cogley really should've scored from the corner. Both the new wingers forced decent saves from their keeper.

The two goals we gave away were poor defending imo.

Decent performance at times but awful result.

He should have, but similar to the way Stockport scored because they are good at what they do, Cogley missed because he's poor at having a shot at goal.  He's been here so long but I can't remember him having a decent shot on target, the type that you'd actually remember and say he's done well there.  So if he gets the same chance next week and the week after, I don't expect him to trouble the keeper.

Randall looked good when he come on, he just needs Erhahon and Simons with/behind him, Sheehan just gets bullied out, im convinced 13 year old nephew could bully him off the ball.

Mcatee is just the easy target because he wears his socks low. The miss was shite but not as shit as fucking cogley mis kicking a ball from 8 yards out. Basically a free shot at goal. But cogley doesn't wear his socks low so it's cool.

you forgot to start with "I really like Sheehan but ..."

spoiler - we know you don't.

I do like Sheehan - preferably in a League 2 possession based team when he’s given loads of time on the ball. His style is tidy and easy on the eye. It’s just that he’s not cut out for the quicker more robust game SS is aiming for.

And when he’s brought on and immediately starts by miscontrolling a pass, floating a corner into the goalie’s hands, giving away unnecessary fouls and then running around in circles a lot it doesn’t help his cause.

Not sure you have watched the same game. Dodgeson and Diamond had a free run on their left......Duberry never tracked back and Dodgeson put in about half a dozen great balls.

No ones over analysing things, just picking through the game. Result aside i am happy enough, but lets not pretend all is rosy

Get a decent 9 in we will be ok

RW is just a WUM like the Scouse supporting foreskin.

Positives - all of new signings seem decent, Conway is superb, Randall played well when he came on.

Negatives - woeful still up top, McAtee & Tutu need shipping out (with Schon).

We’ll be fine - playoffs I reckon.

Confirms again though what the hell Evatt & Markham were smoking last season with the signings they made.

Are you related to McAtee? He was dog shit no matter how much he ran about

So you think we will be above them come the end of the season ?

Not to sure on that we’re still in transition under SS there improving year on year without the major over all we’re on with without spending like Charlton and Pompey when you rip it up and start again new  manager , style , squad it usually takes time

Unfortunately he’s one of our only players who’s got past 10 league goals in a season. Whether you like it or not we’ll be heavily reliant on him this season.

2 bad misses from McAtee. Including one in the first half where he missed the target but would have been offside anyway. Plus he's a striker and JDC is a wing back. So same reason I wouldn't have a go at McAtee for being beaten by a winger - but I would JDC. Fuck all to do with socks.

He's been here a while now and has been given loads of chances. Still haven't seen him have a consistent spell of good form. Massively needs to up his game. I just don't think the quality is there, sadly.

He's being played in what I imagine is his natural position now too. So he's running out of excuses fast.

I still hope he turns it around but he's on borrowed time for me.

Yeah, its bloody frustrating that we don't turn the screw against the better sides the way they do to us.  We're going to have to find a way because the fixtures aren't getting any easier any time soon.

I think we'll finish above Stockport, yes.

They’ve a team full of giants, we haven’t. If Cogley scores or at least hits the target like he should then set pieces don’t even get mentioned.

Well, they should get mentioned because they're still not good enough regardless

Burstow, Forino, and Toal are all big enough
