What the fuck is Lancashire Sauce?

It's a bit of a spicy sauce

Not sure who makes it but Fiddlers do Lancashire Sauce flavoured crisps

I didn’t as my Dad always got the dry crumbly shite. The creamy one is supreme

The history of Lancashire cheese is an  interesting one.

Creamy and Tasty are original ones.

Crumbly was developed in the 50s, to a slightly different method, and is typical of other crumbly cheeses.

Did you go in the Old Cock? Belting place, more feet than teeth in there.

Imagine Worcestershire Sauce. Then shake it and taste piccalilli

Aye. My mam bought the crumbled stuff. Thought it was all like that

Absolutely love Lancashire crumbly. The Lancs cheese croquettes at the Pack Horse in Affetside. Bloody lovely.

Very expensive down here. Bought a full round one from Fremantle Market. Was on one of my Italian steeds heading home and became aware of loads of cars flashing lights at me and folk waving from the path. Thought to myself 'there's plenty of folk around today who appreciate Italian style and engineering'. The fucking cheese had rolled of my footboards and was rolling down the middle of the main street. Fortunately recovered it damage free.

When we see the family on the CDS each year, I spend plenty at Iceland on Lancashire cheese. The white rose of surrender empty vessels often prattle on about 'Gods country'. Well we have his food.

I used to live in Beverley

Nice place and as the racecourse is built on common land I could walk the dogs on it

Obviously when there wasn't a race on

But some of the locals are so snobbish simply because it's not Hull

There was a planning application in for a McDonalds drive thru and the locals went into a rage about how such a place wasn't welcome in Beverley

Despite it going on a retail park next to a Poundstretcher, Halfords and Morrisons

Been to Beverley a lot as got family over that way. The town is deathly dull, the countryside achingly flat and shit.

Hull I dont mind, but in both places you feel like you've dropped off the face of the earth.

Iceland!

Get yourself off to one of the local producers.

Dewlay folk were friendly and helpful in their shop.

Others knocking about, Buttlers at Longridge for example.

If you like goat's cheese, I can sort you our with some from a very local producer- not too far from the Pack Horse.

You've changed your tune as you once described it as a 'lovely little place'

You've obviously never been to Isle of Axeholme... was it a location for a post nuclear holocaust film?

He's just making shit up to try and be contrary

Beverley is next to the Wolds, hilly as I used to cycle round there

Not pennine stuff like though

And he had previously said it was a nice place

My cousin lives in Beverley.

I've never been.

Maybe I should.

Get yourself on the Westwood or have a wander round the racecourse

Just avoid the cows

Had the odd break around East Yorkshire  but never that far.

Stayed in the wolds area once- a picturesque place.

I know some Yorkshire lot can be bores but we are no better. Loads of lovely places to visit in the red side of the Pennines. But I agree loads of our lot haven't seen a fraction of our side.

I'd guess that's not unusual.

When popping off for a break, folk tend to go a bit further afield.
