  • Yesterday was a belter & a statement win. Lowe’s 1st half tactics were woeful. The guy on the tannoy put the cherry on the cake. ‘Today’s attendance is 25k. Thankyou to 3.5k Wigan fans who were he

Speaks well does SS. Even factoring in the feelgood factor of thrashing those feckless shites, he talks a lot of sense without going over the top.

You just get the feeling something significant is being built here.

He does. I was impressed by his selection and tactics today which has taken us up to 10th. If he sticks with that attacking line up we can definitely move up the table but we’ll need performance after performance. Love the feeling of beating Wigan but I love the three points more, given our objectives for this season. That line up gives me confidence. But tonight Im enjoying the Wigan thing.

Just read Lowe comments in the Wigan rag he’s deluded was he at the game I was at ?

Absolutely devoid of class, like his team, and fans.

Hull city must have some fantastic strikers and central midfielders. Simons best player on the pitch today.

I agree Simons is championship quality all day long (but I've seen him play better than today and wouldn't have had him as MOM).  But on Burstow, he's done great for us, but while I'd put Conway, Simons, Forss and Duberry in the championship class, I'd just want to see a bit more on Burstow to put him at that level - but his goal today was definitely that.

No credit from Ryan Lowe for our performance, every goal was down to a mistake by them. Knob.

He’s deflecting. That is a fucking criminal way to set up against us, the arrogant twat.

As good as we were, the fact he started with a 352 and didn’t change it until half time shows what kind of manager he is - shite. Anyone that has watched more than 4 minutes of our games this season knows that you don’t give our wingers the opportunity to have free reign behind your wingbacks - the fact he let us go again and again means he’s not a very good leader. SS is miles apart

i have been supporting this lot for over 50 years and never get disappointed about being disappointed.

Assuming over 50 years includes 1973, you’ve seen us promoted 8 times; 3 times as champions. Not a bad return. There are fans of other teams who’d love that record of success.

@Johnnyrotten 25.5k attendance - are you happy with that? 😀

I'm jesting but it looked really full for a change this week so not many off the official attendance

Absolutely!  Great "official" attendance, and great "turn out".  I'm not sure when it last looked so full, probably for the Barnsley play offs but I was out of the country for both of those so they don't count.

The guy in the ticket office when I was there on Thursday said there are normally 4k S/T holders missing from home games, I think it was clearly less than that today (although 2 of our group couldn't make it).  For a 12.30 KO that elevates this fixture to something beyond the norm, if anyone doesn't think this is a big local derby they are kidding themselves.

My point the other day was just that the BN were talking about 20k home tickets sold as if it was amazing, but we sold nearly that every game this season.  Since then we sold 2.5k more - fantastic - and also there seemed to be less S/T no-shows on top of that.  Great turn out.

Just empty at the end.

Something really does need to be done about that traffic after the match.

We just have to accept it, its never going to change.  Its like a nervous tick that once it gets to the 85th minute folk start thinking about a quick getaway.  I see games at Liverpool and Leeds and nobody seems to leave till 10 minutes after the end if they've won.

Considering it was "game over" from the 80th minute I thought more stayed than normal, there was definitely a more celebratory feel to it than for most home wins.

I genuinely haven't given the 3 points a thought, I haven't looked at the table and didn't know we were 10th.  Today was just about beating Wigan, if they deducted us 3 points tomorrow I'd still be elated by the game today.

In that time Arsenal have never been promoted. Sucks to them eh !?

So ... attacking play, no pitta-pat passing amongst ourselves, quick tempo, playing with wingers, abandoning wing-backs, couple of tough midfielders  & a version of 4-4-2.

Who knew that would work ?

Just for context - and regardless of it being Wigan - Schumacher’s entire dialogue, and the general gist of what has been said on here is that we have drawn too many games that we might have won so far - mainly because of being unable to turn our dominance into goals.

Today we scored goals, we won and we finally looked like a team that wasn’t predictable going forward so whilst beating Wigan was great, it is more than that. It is something we can take into future games. It is hopefully a problem solved.

But as mentioned, the fact that it was Wigan was all the sweeter.

So so good

We'll romp on now & have some big wins.

We're getting there  & will take some stopping when it all clicks.

Fuck the Tics.

Win  the next 3 on the bounce . But need to put our foot down . We have an horrendous last 6 games.

Whilst wallowing in the afterglow of today's splendour, spare a thought for the little pies and how absolutely shite they will be feeling right now and for the rest of the weekend and at least all next week.

......... By thinking of their pain your joy will sore even higher! 😁

Who was the dick that said JDC simply had to be replaced?

I didn't sleep well. Proper derby this, for me. No patronising talk of them being tinpot - not today at least.

We know what we'll get from them; hopefully SS will have the lads physically up for this fixture in a way that his predecessor simply couldn't.

Come on you shithousing Whites!

I love being wrong sometimes.

Have a bit of that, you tinpot cunts!

Leagues apart, from start to finish. I think we all needed that - enjoy the Sunday hangovers, gents! 🙂

Still love Evatt @Wanderlust😂

Time to stop looking at these as rivals. Only for the border dwellers only. We are leaving them behind😂
