I’d have happily taken 4 points against Blackpool and Wigan at the beginning of the season. Hopefully we now kick on

Fucking loved that today even from the posh seats. Next game will be in the mixer in ESL.

Lovely to just put to bed the Wigan bollocks both home and away now.

Where does this leave Randall?

Exactly where he should be and nowhere near the squad

I could watch that 4th goal over & over.

Two calamitous errors. School boy stuff would be a compliment.

Tinpot Wigan at their best.

Our wingers have had a fair bit of criticism in recent weeks, often unfairly for bonkers reasons like ‘they cut inside too much’. They were superb today, mixed it up a lot & can only push on from here. Even the selfless runs & movement from Duberry whilst Gale was shining, made all the difference.

What a player Burstow is.

And feels like more to come from others in the squad . Really hope we can push on from here & this is things clicking .

Just watch that 4th goal on repeat all night.    Fakin ace

Can anybody post the video of the wiggin player stepping off the team bus and launching somet at a couple bolton fans.     Today gets better

-Forss is exactly what we've been needing at 10. Him being there meant Simons and Erhahon didn't look too defensive

Just remembering the stick I got for this on the day we signed him….😀

I've seen him play a sort of 10 role before for Finland and Boro and he certainly got in the box to support the main striker a lot so maybe that's why SS is considering letting McAtee go on loan

…shame McAtee didn’t get that loan and Randall was shoehorned in but Forss is in there now and we’re looking good.

Begs the question how much of today was down to Wigan being crap, and how much of it was down to us being great? I’d like to think it was more of the latter.

I just saw someone post it a couple of weeks back mate. It seemed very odd.

great to see things being mixed up today.

Just superb. Loved the energy and the press in the first half.

Up the league we go.

They've been coached into not cutting in over and over and trying to beat 5 men and losing the ball or blasting over.

That's how it should work.

SS team selection spot on.....a team determined to mix it and play on the front foot......so many times they have beaten us just because they knew we could be bullied, that wasn't an option today and they had nothing else to offer.

Conceded 15 shots on target and 8 have gone in. And I can't remember them all but my guess is most, if not all, of the seven saves have been very routine.

He might be shit, I don't know. But at the minute it's bad luck more than anything.

That's the wierd thing, none of us can truthfully judge him.  Imagine being a scout watching him for the last 9 games, and you're supposed to be giving a professional assessment of his shot stopping!

Difficult for him too when he's doing nothing and then a shot flies in. I bet he wishes we'd get battered by someone just so he can get his eye in.

To be fair his record is great and Boro fans were saying he'd be a brilliant signing.

You don't need to be a regular watcher of Finland to assume he'd be good.

It’s a different proposition for wingers when there are two in the middle and it’s taken until now for SS to drop Randall and McAtee and go with Forss alongside Burstow with midfielders pivoting behind to provide new options for them. In previous games they’ve generally been double marked and had little choice but cut inside at times. Today they had central targets which blows away the defensive tactics that have kept us out so far. It gave them freedom and at times they were even operating in tandem on the same side which was a joy to behold.

Forss only came here late in the transfer window,so maybe SS wanted him to play but the players fitness wasn't upto it until now

Yep.

It's not unreasonable to be a bit critical when that's what they were doing too much.

Variation makes them both harder to defend against.

The miss kick and then the header. Fcking hilarious.

Tinpot goal of the decade.

If someone could just make a Giff and label it Wigan, that would be lovely.

The EFL will have some action to take there won't they?

What a twat.

Could have got a bit tasty that!

He shouldn't have done it, and no doubt the fans were giving it large.

Each to their own, but I don't get staying behind just to do that. Just get down to the pub/curry house!

It's just a bit shit all around really. The Wigan player is a twat but there's zero chance it was unprovoked.

And then 'hold me back' trying to get on the bus. Just enjoy the win.
