Popular Post gonzo Posted September 14, 2025 Popular Post Posted September 14, 2025 Think the guy warrants a new thread. Absolutely tragic news. What a warrior he was. Quote
Spider Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 Gutted about this. His fights were always a proper occasion. Always a gang of us watching somewhere, he was a genuine warrior, you knew whatever happened he’d give everything in that ring. its even worse the way he’s gone. Total waste of a young life. RIP lad. deeane Koontz Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 I can't speyk. Rip. Proper shocked He was a fucking relentless boxer Quote
DaveTheRave Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 Sad news. Went to a few of his fights and met him a couple of times. Didn't behave like he was a star and was just one of the lads. R.I.P Quote
Tombwfc Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 You'll never ever see anything like him again. Tens of thousands of (mostly working class) folk spending thousands to fly across the world for boxing. And he was fucking brilliant in his pomp. You don't get in the Hall of Fame just for having banter. A terribly sad end to an incredible ride. Quote
bolty58 Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 Never been into boxing but from what I have seen of him he seemed a very likeable lad. Proper northerner - no fucking about. RIP Quote

No fighter worldwide has ever done what he did in regards to thousands of fans flying around the world to watch him Doubt it will ever happen again A terrible loss Quote
Winchester White Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 RIP Ricky. An absolute legend gone too early. Quote
RoadRunnerFan Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 Awful to hear this. RIP Hitman. Quote
royal white Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 I Was fortunate enough to be in his company numerous times. He really was one of the lads. He was always on The Jolly Boys Xmas doos, which I’m sure a few on here would have attended. There would always be a queue by his table for fans wanting pictures and autographs. When the strippers came out you would here him say, “come back in 20 mins lads my dance is here” he would then have his dance, have tits rubbed in his face for 20 mins and then carry on having photos 😂 Absolute shit news, a top boxer who brought me some of my best nights watching boxing. R.I.P. Quote
kent_white Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 Could this be a first for WW - a piece of news we're all in agreement on. Terribly sad news. Quote

Terribly sad news. Another good life "wasted" by this insidious illness. Graham Thorpe's story is terrible- don't know whether RH was under medical supervision? Quote

Dr Faustus Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 The fight v Kostya Tszyu has to be one of my favourites ever; was shocked when I heard, and only coming on here today compounded a fear. I know one poster on here knew him personally, and I’m gutted for you bud God speed Hitman Quote
royal white Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 A brilliant tribute here from Neville https://www.skysports.com/football/video/30998/13431528/it-s-a-devastating-day-for-manchester-gary-neville-pays-tribute-to-ricky-hatton Quote
Ani Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 It is been good today watching various tributes to him that seem so genuine. Quote
desperado Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 Awful news. Great boxer, there was such a buzz around his fights. And as everybody who is commenting is saying, had a heart of gold. Had a lengthy conversation with him at Tenerife airport - 2009 I think, our flight back to Manchester had a long delay, he was brilliant. Just shown my lads the photo I took of him with them. They are usually embarrassed when I show them pictures of them as toddlers, not this one. Quote
