Needs to bring is own lawn mower on away trips then

A shocking result, it can’t be dressed up in any other way. This is the first result I’ll put on Schumacher. No other team in the country drop back the league’s top scorer to accommodate another striker who turns out to be rubbish.

We should be 2-0 up and that penalty would never have been a thing if Dalby had put away his 2nd sitter of the match. Morley had another game where he was non existent. Simons struggled for the first real time this season. Not putting any real money into the defence that shipped 70 last season is criminal.

We go again on Thursday but I fear the season is done already which is depressing. Last thought is thank god Dalby was injured at the start of the season as we may never have signed Burstow.

I said from day one that having a scouser in charge was a shit idea.

I was okay with it... cars in the car park don't have hub caps anymore

Is Big Sam up for a return?

It that right?

If so, then that's smacking of desperation.

Same analysis ive been making for weeks.

Feels like sabotage.

Wins the league with Plymouth in league 1, comes back to league 1 with Bolton and then adopts totally different tactics.

Make it make sense.

Mid table obscurity beckons.

Going off that advert, I'd say not! :)

it's just that we chose the wrong scouser, it should've been Nolan

We can't continue as we are but the season's definitely not over

Agreed.  I presumed because we were ripping up the whole lot, we couldn't afford to do as much in the defence as we'd have liked in the 1st window.  I hope at least 1 new beast of a centre back comes in winter.

I've always had that feeling that our stay in this division is temporary and it's not our Natural level.

Like we're just doing a bit of time.

Days like today offers the realisation that this is every bit our level.

This is us. This is what we are. A crap mid-table division 3 outfit with crap Division 3 players.

Just like 88/89 under Neal.

Of course- just feels a bit like it.

It's as if something isn't right within the camp, such was the level of cohesion, aggression, and ultimately, performance.

We were skint at that point, and had to scrape a bit together to build.

We aren't now, and have splashed out significantly over the last year or two.

That can't last though.

Yep, we need a modern day Rioch to change the whole mentality at the club, Bruce made them all Live local, painted the changing rooms and instilled a winning mentality, turned the club right around, we need a complete overhaul of the club.

Just heard is interview

blames Dalby missing two sitters and blames poor defending conceding from goals that were just simple goal kicks one being from our own .

we have been vulnerable from Just simple punts through the middle Barnsley goal for example just shit defending

He can blame Dalby all he wants. He shouldn't have been on the pitch.

He shouldn't even be at the club

Factually, these are correct.

Glosses over the repeated nature of the errors though.

May be also a poor selection- a comparatively weak midfield up against a hard working team, direct team.

That's the bit for me, I expected us to look and operate a lot more like Plymouth than we do. There's a fair bit of us that's not quite as advertised in interviews over the Summer, not least in the wide positions but also in midfield. We still lack the protector in front of defence that'd help us gain a foothold in pub football games like today and when we were holding onto a lead last week

Next 6 league games ....how many points we predicting?

A graphic titled Upcoming Matches displays a schedule for Bolton Wanderers EFL games. It lists Huddersfield vs Bolton on Thu 16 Oct at 20:00 with team logos. Next is Bolton vs Cardiff on Sat 25 Oct at 12:30. Then Bolton vs Port Vale on Sat 8 Nov at 15:00. Followed by Oldham vs Bolton in EFL Trophy on Tue 11 Nov at 19:00. Then Bolton vs Stevenage on Sat 15 Nov at 15:00. Next Bolton vs Bradford on Sat 22 Nov at 15:00. Finally Luton vs Bolton on Sat 29 Nov at 16:00. Each entry shows dates times opponents and Bolton logo.

I actually trust us to do ok in those big home games.

It's wank like today and Northampton that'll be our downfall.
