I would freshen things up go a little more solid and add more pace to the team....Yes i know we are doing ok, but i do not want to be approaching Christmas with teams like Stevenage and Lincoln [After losing their best 4 players] Above us.

Happy at the start of the season to consolidate and i thought we would certainly improve under SS. This season the league is dire and promotion is there for the taking.

TuTu      Forrester   Johnston   Conway

        Simons        Erahon

Genuine interest (ie not having a go) - you’d take Toal out?

Reason I ask is I’m surprised given we’ve got the 2nd best defensive record in the league (and I’m a Forrester fan).

And it’s a belter.

Beautiful day, back on home turf, got 5-0 written all over it.

I’m a huge Forrester fan too but no way I’d leave Toal out of this. I’d have played Will against Mansfield last Tuesday because he’s the best scrapper and blocker we’ve got but I don’t think Schu sees in him what others do.

Yes i would Toal needs a breather more than most, he has not had the international breaks most have had coupled with him being included in some cup games. Thats not taking him out long term....That 11 i picked is a million miles off both selection and system ss plays. Just a alternative view point.

Just seen him say Morley and Dempsey are out..........I take it if Cogley is playing and not Christie. So the dead balls will go to Sheehan....More than happy with that.

Just threw Desmond in at right back because he is no worse than Cogley and would link up better with ACD

Nowt wrong with Toal, but to phrase one of your sayings he is treading treacle........Ideal time to give him a breather before the Christmas work load.

My thinking is we’ll need pace at the back as Caldwell usually packs the midfield away from home to frustrate and depend on scoring on the counter - however he may opt for Magennis as a hold up striker to play off but we’ll see.

Just checked and they are excellent defensively away from home - 6th best record in the league - so I’m even more convinced we have to score first in this one, ideally early to see if we can loosen them up a bit and then any score is possible even though they rarely concede more than one per game away.

They're bottom of the away form table, having scored 4. Agree an early goal would probably kill it off.

And conceding over a goal a game away from home. They’re not excellent defensively

I do agree though Lusty with your point that we need to score first - although that’s not dissimilar to any of these type of teams that come up to set up camp and not be broken down.

I am however going to follow the game on Bolton News vidiprinter and call every player totally fucking shit throughout the game (mainly Cogley)even though I've no actual idea as to what is going on.

Don't forget to be the first caller on GMR stating how you've not been to the game but are gonna have your whinge anyway

Who said that ? SS said no new injuries in the interview posted on here did nt ?

Where did you hear this ?

They’ve conceded 10 away goals at an average of 1.11 goals per game I.e. 6th in the away defensive table. Equally they’ve had trouble scoring away from home hence their lowly position

Always likely to happen when they set up to frustrate.

Might be a late change. Think Christie could be starting
