Leyton Orient (H)

Really is a big game this.

Heading to the abyss of the season this is where we really do need to make a statement and start kicking on.

Saw McAtee starting, thought fine, give him the benefit of the doubt and all that.   Two minutes in, ball played up to him, he just runs looking at the defender and the ball hits him on the bac

Think SS made a big mistake changing the shape today, but scrapped a win, on to the next.

Phew, that was hard work. Better 2nd half, Conway struggles defensively, too slow. Good fight shown by simons and Christie. We really wobbled at the end. No idea what the ref was on?

Just hope we can shake off this poor standard of football. Hopefully we can get a bully of a striker in soon.

Luck went with us today, really poor performance but if we can take confidence from at least winning, get a couple of new faces in and continue the results against Burton on Tuesday things could look a lot different.

Far from polished and we're in desperate need of reinforcements but we're picking up results, which is the main thing

A big three points

Hand may be forced next time out- could have lost two wingers, and presumably Sheehan will still be out.

To be honest though would we really miss the wingers, they’ve done very little other than Gales goal today but in fairness he contributed little else. Tightening up at the back with Christie and Forino fid more for me today so let’s hope SS keeps the three at the back now and builds on that?

Hopefully a start of something, can't follow this up with dropped points v Burton

As soon as I saw Burstow was taking it, my immediate reaction was he's gonna go down middle, last minute and that he hadn't scored for ages, thankfully the goalkeeper didn't think this way.

No idea why we didn't get an indirect freekick after that, the goal we conceded was similar to Doncaster away were a ball is fizzed in low and ends up near the back post for an opposition player, yet a lot of our similar balls gets blocked by the first man or like Christie in first half were it's cleared, the moment we created a great chance Conway put it wide.

Certainly not a performance to get rid of any lingering doubts, but 3 points and we've got a decent gap vs the teams outside the playoffs at least

Conway had a shocker, Gale's only saving grace was that he scored, otherwise poor, think we should go back to a 3-5-2 on tuesday we just keep getting overun in M/F playing 2 wingers

3 big games coming up ( all are big tbh) before a crucial away game v Lincoln who are 2nd, big game for them at home to Bradford on Tuesday, then we are hoping for Wigan and Plymouth to do us favours at home.

I can't see a change in personnel by the Burton game, too little turnaround time

Neither can I, but hopefully by the close of the transfer window

Passing accuracy down to 71% today.

No Sheehan

Another filthy win in any way possible Tuesday, then hopefully a couple of new faces by Saturday please.

Iles mentioned perhaps 3 in 2 out during next week, we'll see.

One man doesn't drop a team's percentage that much.

Had a few beers, went to bed at 9pm and set alarm for just before 1am

Slept through

Woke up and got game on in 90th minute

Went for a piss and missed second goal

1 in by Wimbledon, and any other business done on deadline day I reckon

As we all know we have been so laboured in recent weeks with the exception of Wigan. The problem of not being able to find the back of the net continues despite scoring our most in a game for some time today.

But..... that is one defeat in six and throughout this slog of a post-Christmas period that has been a hard watch we remain the second lowest conceders of goals in the division. Peterborough apart that is what has kept us in touch.

With injuries beginning to come in to the reckoning and numbers looking more thin than for some time we face a crucial week and a bit in the transfer market.

SS and the squad are showing some grit if nothing else. Peterborough away felt like a crossroads with some nasty routes forward. Seven points out of nine since...

When I went over there it was so hard getting used to not just the match being long finished, but all the build up, the game and all the post match stuff being done and dusted while I was asleep!

Aye, that's the plan

In one week I've had

12.30pm KO (10.30pm)

3pm (1am)

7.45pm (5.45am)

I can already see it's the 3pm ones that will be a struggle, others will be easy

Be easier when clocks go back

Yeah, 7pm Monday, the fixture schedule is a pain in the arse at this point
