Burton Albion (H)

Definately owe them one, after they beat us at their's. On paper we've got the easier match of the clubs in the top eight. Nothing less than 3 points.

Sam dalby take a bow son, you’ve had to bide your time, you’ve worked your bollocks off since getting into the team. Mom tonight.

  • Lead the line and linked up play all night then bags two. Some of you really are thickos.

Horny ain’t it

Blackpool isn’t far behind either

They'll have had virtually no time on the training ground this month, a month when we've trimmed the squad, hit a few injuries, played teams (recently) who should have been fresher than us, and had significant changes in formation.

Add in that we went into the month in a bit of a crisis pre-Wigan.

We've picked up 10 points from the last 12. Performances have been generally poor, but get something at Wimbledon and we go into a spell where players can rest properly and we get more time to work things out in training.

We may have just dug out enough points in our toughest spell of the season to mount a challenge for 2nd in the run-in.

Typical game against this lot. Guaranteed not to be pretty. Never will be. We won so job done. Thought Dalby was magnificent. Missing Sheehan badly. Still a core group of players who imho can get us to playoffs at least. Given transfers out and injuries would say we need 2 if not 3 players in who will be nailed on starters….then we’ll have a reasonable squad again.

Oh, and agree with Morley. The lad isn’t happy so unless he can convince Schuey otherwise need to cash in.

As of Friday, his head was out the door. He’s agreed personal terms but was just waiting for the structure of the transfer fees to be agreed. The club weren’t happy with Wycombe’s proposal

Think Randel managed 12 minutes as a sub last night before being subbed off injured

I think some of that might be because Gale is always wanting the ball in to his feet, whereas everyone else was trying to play him in behind, particularly when he was on the left flank as their right back was on a booking and of course we needed to be turning them round quickly when chasing a goal. If he had been making those runs before the ball was played then he’d have been yards clear of his man getting hold of the ball. In his defence, one or two of the passes were pretty weighty, and pretty much all of the wide players were guilty of wanting the ball in to feet instead of in to the space behind the full backs.

We got a yellow card for that one, didn’t we? You don’t have to leave the pitch after treatment if the challenge was a bookable offence. The annoying one was the one we stopped the game for late on who then refused treatment so didn’t have to go off. Another loophole that needs closing.

You know I think I did know the rule about after a booking. Hate it when people get annoyed but do know the rules/laws so I am now doubly annoyed !

Btw, I counted 11 minutes on the clock until I heard many around me groaning and with shouts of "Gerrit forward!".

We've kept the points ticking over , ground out results . I know the gap to 2nd seems large , but put yourself in the Lincoln fans and players heads , they look over their shoulder at the chasing pack , Bolton pick up 6 points from injury time winners in the last two games,  we scored a last kick equaliser against them at home , they will have negative thoughts about us , have doubts in their head, " Bolton scored late again ... Bloody hell ... ****** "

I hope there's a whole thread dedicated to discussing Lowe's attempts to say "calamity" 😀

He said it again last night! Surely somebody put him right after last time!

Randall's post match interview last week didn't centre on all that trivial football stuff.  He just said (seriously!) that he thought the orange shirt looked good on him.

If any quote summed him up, it was that one.

Interesting stat in that tonight we failed to score in the first 45 minutes for the ninth consecutive match

whilst we've scored in 90+ for the 10th time

this is why i back opposition half time / bolton full time

though that's only come in once i think v huddersfield

which suggests we're not conceding first either

It’s been in place for a few years but I did wonder if they’d scrapped it with how many people were complaining about it last night. My self-confidence has been ruined by the non-back pass on Saturday 😂

DMBs won Trebles scoring last minute goals.

They were fitter than everyone else and stayed driven and focused to the very end.

It's a rather good trait to have.

The ref got that wrong initially, not sure why they got possession back afterwards though. Ref will get a very low score for that game, getting a rule wrong is a big no no, unless you are a fan obviously

Scoring late goals is a great habit to have.

Needing to score them less so

Turns out you can touch the ball with your hands from a back pass if you have made an initial attempt to clear it with your feet. Should have been play on so because play had been stopped unnecessarily whilst in the area, the ball goes back to the goalkeeper

Looked at Lincoln’s games coming up and if Plymouth beat them and we can win the next two we have a chance of getting level on points if we can win at theirs.

March is horrible for Lincoln as they play Cardiff, Exeter and Doncaster (seemed to have turned it round) away and  Stockport and Huddersfield at home.

We just need to start playing well again and we will have a reasonable chance of getting up
